Interesting thing about the Top Dolla one: According to him, he was typically able to do that move, but that day he wasn't, and that, combined with him just feeling off in general that day, compelled him to see the doctor, where he found out he had Type 2 Diabetes and a Blood Sugar of 626. He says he almost lost both of his feet and, possibly, his life, but that botch convinced him to see a doctor.

I remember once on WCW Thunder (maybe Nitro), Jericho was supposedly locked out and he tried to pull the "locked" door open, which it did slightly only for Jericho to push his foot forward to stop it. Later on, Wrath chased him away and the cameraman was not supposed to follow around the production truck. But he did, and Jericho just casually stopped running while Wrath slowed down running past him slightly. WCW went to break but fans in the arena saw more with the two turning around casually walking back.

as a pro wrestler for the past 14 years pro wrestling is the hardest thing a human could ever do. and i dont appreciate you calling my lifes work fake. fake in this context implies no risk/injury. movies are fake, tv shows are fake. wrestling is ENTERTAINMENT. yes we know whos gonna win before we go out, big deal. if thats all you focus on about this artform youll never understand why most of the world loves to watch it. ask brock lesnar if pro wrestling is fake, why dont you watch kurt angles interview with espn in 2006 and hear what he says about pro wrestling after only 6 years in the business

They do insane things that require lots of skill it makes sense that even at a high level they will mess up, especially further into a fight thats worn them down. If those matches were always 100% perfect it would look like an obvious stunt show. Botches were someone misses contact though make things look bad.

you don't need to see botches to know pro wrestling is scripted, kayfabe is maintained less now than it ever has been in the history of the industry. wrestlers do interviews and shit out of character all the time and channels like botchamania have been around for ages covering the in-ring side of things. going the whole "proving it's fake" route is almost endearingly outdated, that ship sailed a loooooong time ago

yeah scripted, but also fake, it aint like all the moves and hits they do connect with force in anyways or form, does some things hurt offcourse, but most hits do not connect or do not connect buy force, or they would nock out eachother often and fast.

No it's fake. They wouldn't be able to do 99% of wrestling moves, without the other person helping. And they act likes moves hurt even when they don't. That clearly fulfills the definition of fake
