Sometimes the psychology of 'winning' is enough to throw off their game, likely because they've both relaxed and intensified at the same time. They're no longer worried about their position, so their aggressiveness slacks when they needed to really keep the pressure. They're also excited before it's actually over. That adds adrenaline causing snap decisions rather than rational ones.

Well some comment this n that here(after Hikaru hung his Q...but i was thinking(when i read those comments...well Duhh!...Hikaru is a strong GM...so do you really expect him to make a scene because he won against this(is it 2000 rated player?)...nah not even close...Hikary can take any 2000 player for lunch , supper and dinner...yea blindfold!
