@omnib.1359 ай бұрын
Agreed....the grandmother can’t advice anyone to be victorious if she’s still struggling as a single mom at her grown age! Seems like she herself never learned from her own failures as a person yet alone a woman. I think she’s truly mad because her son is like his father, irresponsible. Mom is upset that the cycle continues within her own family. She is projecting out of anger because she still is a victim subconsciously but wants to be seen as victorious as a single mom. Whom hasn’t broken the cycles of rejection and abandonment. When she should’ve been talking to her son about his life and what happens when HE chooses to not wrap it up. If she truly wanted to be victorious to herself and others.

No you missed it because and that’s how black women talk when we are trying to make younger people listen. It’s just how some of us are. Even the judge knew it came from a loving place. She’s just trying to let this beautiful young lady realize that she’s strong enough to do it even if she needs to work two jobs. Black women are strong and have always been.
@MarkusBrown-w6d9 ай бұрын
@@jackiesmith1325I really don't think the point was missed. Sure, alot of what the grandmother from the first case talked about was her extending some level of understanding and encouragement for the mother to uplift herself. But as the original commenter said, the grandmother is actively absolving her son from taking on any responsibility for a child he had a part in making. I'd NEVER dismiss the strength it takes for a black woman to be a single mother because I was raised by one. In that same instance, I can't just ignore the fact that she'd actively discouraged her son from pursuing the truth in regards to the child's paternity (And I stand by that statement even if the child wasn't his). Regardless of his age, the way he behaved before Judge Lake rightfully checked him was clear that he wasn't taking it seriously. These types of things we never be put a grinding halt if we don't address and hold men to a higher standard. As a society (not you specifically), we need stop telling little girls, whether directly or indirectly, that their existence comes secondary to a man's.
@Colie.20109 ай бұрын
@@jackiesmith1325 I didn’t miss anything. I heard exactly what she said. She said “why ask me for money when you can do it yourself because I had to be strong and do it myself.” Not once did she turn to her son and tell him to be responsible. Some black women talk like that when it comes to absolving their black sons of responsibility. That’s why we have so many fatherless homes and black moms who enable their sons to be irresponsible. She yelling at the girl but she needed to be hooping and hollering at her son. HE needed the talk but that is the only person in that room that she should be teaching a lesson.
@Colie.20109 ай бұрын
@@MarkusBrown-w6d exactly. The mom felt like because she had to be a single mother that the girl shouldn’t be looking to her son for help and to just step up and be a single mom. Literally telling her not to worry about the father. She didn’t want her son to have to take responsibility for that baby. And then acted like she was so excited to see the grandchild. I know women like that and she was being fake and putting on the show. She said what she said and she meant it.

The mother had to be strong but she needed family support. Strong does not mean people don’t need assistance. The boy is immature and so is the mother. I love the way the grandmother wanted to hug and kiss the baby’s feet. All in all I think they will come together for the sake of the child. Love each other.

The fact that they were separated at the time should've given her the ammunition from the beginning to discuss any paternity doubt. The husband loves her more than she loves he would've stayed with her regardless. She is conniving. She knew from the get-go that the baby wasn't her husband's. SOME women though😢!

Now, she is breaking down crying, talking about she never saw her grandchild if she was a real woman before she started making accusation and trying to belittle the woman she should have asked to see the child, whether she knew or not, her son was the father. That's what a real grandmother does, not them, fake crocodile test. I don't wanna see it

Find your own kids dad's so you don't have to work 2 jobs, and learn to have all 4 of them stand up for whatever situations happen in their lives. The fake tears and acting like she loves that child made me ill. I didn't shed one tear of happiness at the end . Hope that child will someday get to see his" oh so loving " granny on the video of this case.
