The NIL buyout is very similar to how the European and South American soccer clubs function. Clubs sign players, develop them and sell them to bigger clubs. It's a very good system for finding and developing talent.

The schools ARE paying the coaches(the professionals). Are the schools paying the players(the students)? Are NIL deals local(if the player leaves, is he leaving the NIL as well?) or national(does the NIL deal travel with the player if he leaves?)? Is there such a thing as players getting their NIL deals in some type of percentage while on the team(and performing) then receiving the bulk(the rest of the deal) upon graduation(or being drafted or whatever is negotiated)?

Good stuff Coach. I think your spot on with the contracts for NIL being longer than one year. I also think transfers should go back to what they were, you can transfer but you sit out for a year. And I think you hit on something else, while they wont admit it ever, tampering has to be running rampant through college sports.

Only way to fix this is to make the players employees and give them contracts. All this talk about putting a cap on Nil is laughable because the minute a player challenges that in court the ncaa will get its doors blown off like Florida State in the Orange Bowl this past season. The Supreme Court of the United States 🇺🇸 voted on this in a 9-0 ruling. For those of you who don't follow politics I'm not sure the Supreme Court could all agree on what color the sky is but they all agreed on players should be able to make money off their name, image and likeness. Even with contracts there will still be Nil money going around its just the players won't be able to leave school when they want to.

Coaches get buyouts because of experience idk if you said what you said for shock values coach but these kids cannot coach themselves they would never develop nor achieve college needs a wage scale and only juniors and seniors should be allowed to get endorsements. It’s only fair long as the transfer system is the way it is the players should earn their keep. And seeing all these freshman and sophomore’s leave than get lost in the shuffle is sad even though the students that pay tuition have to work etc for their education get nothing out of this to so at the end of the day you getting a free ride to learn for free and get paid how much more can you ask for.🤦🏾‍♂️
