Especially with that tinal statement, about it just being good fun and it's not about winning and warning about character bleed, all stuff we still emphasize today.

I have a feeling they were playing Tomb of Horrors module, they had a buch of pregens in the back for tournament use or just to play at home and one of them had a ring of wishes if memory serves. It was a brutal module made to test players and not so much their characters. It was for level 10 to 14 I think.

Most sane report on DnD I've seen from the 80s, also cool to see how people played the game back then, seeing as this was 16 years before I was even born.

The main differences between this and religion are that churches don't use dice, and rpg's don't expect you to believe anything they tell you is real. Also, you're less likely to get molested at a game.

TSR was bought out by Wizards of the Coast, which was later bought out by Hasbro. They're the corporate stooges responsible for neutering Dungeons & Dragons. A trademark is just a trademark though, and there are hundreds of quality Roleplaying Games to choose from now, many of which are completely free to play.
