Last Friday we had a bit of time to run some matches and didn't quite know what to do. Zuit had the suggestion that it had been forever since we last run the M22 Locust at it's actual battle rating. I hope you enjoy these low tier matches with everyone's favorite tiny tank.

1:27 Honestly…seeing as Sturmling seemingly does whatever he can to play ONLY vehicles from the Soviet tech tree…this tracks. I mean, when everyone else is playing Panthers, Sturm shows up on a Soviet Panther. When everyone else is playing Shermans, Sturm shows up in a Soviet Sherman. When everyone’s playing Heavy Tanks, like the Tiger or the American T29, there’s Sturmling in an IS. Everyone’s playing generic French, Swedish, or Italian vehicles, oh look, there’s Sturmling in his Su-122.

It WAS made to be air dropped with parachutes in three parts, the hull, the turret, and the ammo, and then all assembled on the ground, so you’re pretty much spot on.

Honestly, If the locust was a rank 2 tank so it could spot, it would be so incredibly powerful and heavily used people would complain about it so the spotting system as a whole would be reworked

In what world? The locust is already heavily used. People wouldn’t use it for a spotting feature. That title belongs to a lot of other vehicles that can do it far better than the locust ever could. People use it because it’s one of the lowest ranked vehicles with a gun that’s actually decent for higher BRs.

@ But the king of rats is easier to hide, faster fire rate because of the smaller gun, easier to become a bush, and iconic. I've used both the M22 and the M24 at 10.7 and the Locust was better minus the lack of scouting and APHE from the M24s 75mm. I've got more kills in the M22 and M24 at 7.0+ than I do at 10.7+ with tanks at their BR

It's easier to get matches if you play the same nation, and with Strumling in Russia it's best not to make it a 3 nation squad. it's ok though, I slapped a Union Jack on the M22.

The SAPHE round had about the explosive power of a hand grenade. They legitimately had a difficult time seeing the impacts on the range. Its saving grace in the pacific was the shrapnel round.

genuine question, i have recently started playing US. how good is the M22's HE shell, the M63? on a small bore 37mm gun, especially since it has "semi AP" i do not see how it is good, but maybe i am completely missing the point. cause i am usually running the M51B1 ballistic cap AP, and that seems to work quite well
