@@apertureemployee215 I'm in NY in the US, and I could probably build a better AT weapons system than the L3 out of materials I don't even have to contact the ATF to get a licence for. After all, .50 BMG AP is good to go thru a not insignificant amount of WWII era armor plate, and I could probably get a sporting use exemption for buying a Barrett M82 .50 semiautomatic rifle, tho I might have to accept a limited magazine of 5 rounds instead of the normal 10. But yes, it would basically be a go kart with an AT rifle. No/Minimal armor, use speed as your armor (well, wear body armor too, no sense getting taken out by shrapnel). Intended tactic: Drive-by while firing, causing track damage and flat tires to the enemy vehicles. Alternatively, I could move to Nevada, get the appropriate ATF licenses, and build it as a dune buggy with a Carl Gustav or many AT-4s (gets expensive quick, but that's war for you. You can't really procure true AT weapons in NY, because of our gun laws. This is just what I "could" do tho. In reality, I keep that kind of thing to my video games, where I think it belongs. There's no real worthwhile targets in NY to go after, and shooting these things on the range just isn't the same, you know? Rather put on a VR headset and play Hot Dogs, Horseshoes, and Hand Grenades. (aka H3VR).

A VIP mode could be quite the interesting game mode, one team protects an L3, the other tries to kill it. Smaller maps, smaller teams, could be fun.

Could base what vehicle you're escorting based on the overall BR of the game (across both teams), that way at higher tiers you'd be escorting things that can't be easily taken out by "close enough" large caliber HE shells (topping out at a Maus or something with ERA and a spall liner).

We've actually played a similar mode on stream before! A VIP was being escorted through a town full of civvies like a presidential parade and a team of other tanks had to try to assassinate it and escape to the map barrier without harming the civvies or all being killed.

They need a gamemode in war thunder like how TF2 has the Payload gamemode. Imagine having to escort an armoured train, and it shoots back at enemies, but its still vulnerable to getting shot. if it gets shot, you gotta repair it by standing near it. It doesnt blow up or et destroyed, but you need to keep it repaired and fend off attackers. Still stays somewhat realistic while being a true payload gameplay. They should also add capture the flag. Imagine your teams base having the "sekrit documents" and you have to get it with your tank and drive back.
