My ko sunstreaker turned up today, China to UK, I am very pleased with it. No loose parts and no paint chips though the paint isn’t perfect it’ll do for me. This review had me worried after I watched it because I paid for it before I saw the video and its the most I have spent on a ko so far at £45, but all is good, sorry about yours though. Keep up the good work. 👍

From the videos both robots looked great. As far as the pain goes we can always relain it ourselves since hasbro and takara always sick at that anyways. And takara price is way over priced. If they would have reasonable pricing then KO wouldn’t exist. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

I’d been waiting for months! I got it today and so far I’m very happy! Still in car-mode, sitting next to his brother Sideswipe. I’ll check for flaws when I have daylight. The fact Takara-Tomy gave both LP500s, that are identical cars, completely different Transformations! I haven’t noticed non-uniform paints, but mine is possibly made before or after, as I don’t feel any cast-iron. However, no bumpy paint! He suits me fine. **Tips for when opening and changing collectibles and earrings** 1. Do it in the bathroom 2. Close All drains incl. shower 3. Cover all floor vents and towel under doors I learned those the hard way.

I received the KO recently I had zero of these problem. No tabbing issues and the chest tabbed in and didnt spin around. Some very very minor paint issues no where near what you have for paint issues in the one you received(Luck of the draw I guess), but nothing to make me regret the purchase.

Just got my ko ver and It’s pretty good on the paint and the quality and everything tabs in well on my copy. Had no trouble with it whatsoever. Though while the other 2 face expressions are good, the no expression face has no black line but can’t complain.

You seem to be buying the bad quality ko’s, I have an Optimus Prime and Soundwave ko’s and they are great! NO ISSUES 👍🏻

Yes, I have like 10 plus. Just ordered the Hound KO that came out recently.. Was wondering if it would. Anyway, I have no work very little complaints other than sideswipes chest not pinning in. But still No big deal. From what I've heard, the originals have their issues. Sometimes more. But man, I'm so thrilled about these chaos, affordability oh, well at least over the originals. So I can get more. I got three Originals, barely tell the difference. And the KO seem to be even better in some issues.

I can't really understand why everyone is complaining as much for this ko, all other ko cars always had pretty much all the same problems, not sure what people where expecting. I guess most of us got spoiled by some ko that were actually better than the originals, but we know those companies, none of those unnamed ko have been close to the original. Compared to other ko i have like the other lambos this one is probably better

Hey mate, hard to tell but have you got the two tabs rotated up on the side of the abs to hold the chest in place? It looks like they're still rotated down on the KO. At 11.10 on The Chosen Primes video you can see where Brandon flips them out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2TKc3-Brp6Ai5I They clip in to hold the chest in place. That may be why the chest is so floppy on yours? Edit: Never mind, just saw your update video with the tabs out. Mine is much the same, the left side tabs in better than the right. But I find if I fiddle with it and do the right side first then the left, and fold the side windows down a bit, i can often get it to tab together properly and it generally holds. Not as easy as the official but it can work My KO is probably about the same as yours paint wise, maybe a little better. But the bot mode is a lot cleaner than the vehicle mode and that's what I need it for (BC Sunsurge is my alt mode version) and for that he works pretty good. I think if this had been the same price as other KO carbots it would be fine. The finish is a lot better than my MP-12+ KO. But for the higher price its a little disappointing.

My KO had paint issues on the chest area.Def spend the extra for the official if you plan on selling it later if not Ko will be ok.

Generally the first release of theae ko's are terrible. They often get better with every batch.

How is the Other car mode Transformation effected on the KO ?

I have a KO of this guy coming in today, along with Ratchet, Inferno, and Grapple. I don't have much hope after this video. My KO Streak was pretty bad, QC-wise, as was my KO Prowl. I've had good luck on other KO's that were great quality, all things considered.

Price has difference between 2 versions. Overall, the version is right for the price, not bad, not good, suitable for most people's pocket.

Reviewing old videos on Katie Holmes. Pound kale just came out. My sunstreaker looks great. 90% of my chaos look great. Still can't get over it. They are awesome for like half the price. No way paying full price for masterpieces. That stopped after 2. So despite some tiny little flaws, they're still great. Still extremely pleasantly surprised

My genuine Sunstreaker broke on day one on the hinge connecting the windscreen. Has this had any modification to stop that happening?

Got my ko last week and it was also garbage. Paint blotches everywhere, chrome on the spoiler was scratched, chipped paint, but the worst part was that it was missing both of the black panels on its shins! I think we have been spoiled by all the other great kos out there

Mine is way better don't get me wrong the paint sucks, but everything on mine tabs in great. KO QC can be a gamble. I lost big on sideswipe years ago but did alright on this one. Great comparison review.

@KO Assassin ive bought a smokescreen and a tracks. Granted some have problems. But don't. Transform them like once a month. Had for two years. No problems yet.

What I've found with some of these KO's is their second batch is much improved. Most of my bots are shipped to be Day 1 of release. Later on other people report near perfect results with their KO's.

Too bad none of the major players (Toy House Factory, Infinite Transformation, etc.) ever bothered to tackle Sunstreaker, Shockwave, or Optimus... UPDATE 2022Nov28: So I got the reissue of this KO a couple weeks ago. Worst thing on my copy was this *_MASSIVE_* paint scuff on the stock face, as if they'd assembled the head and then transformed it into vehicle mode while the paint was still wet. After that, there's a bit of paint chipped off the right thigh (makes me wonder why dafuq it's painted at all when there's yellow plastic underneath), and the left hand had a massive seam line. Yes, the transformation is fiddly...it just sucks!! The head and arms have to be positioned exactly right, or the back end of the car WON'T close up properly...the instructions don't bother showing what "exactly right" is, either. Looks great with my Takara MP12G G2 Sideswipe, though - and I specifically got the G2 one so that regardless of legit or KO, Sunstreaker wouldn't look better. Can't be outdone if you're in black!! 😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣

This is my problem with the group of KO's at 55+. The old KOs were going for $30 (KO small autobots) - especially that's only $10 more than Earthrise and Studio Hasbro current line, which are a great bang for your money deal. But at$55+, which by the way is the same with the Bulblebee 2.0, is overpriced KO, in my opinion.

I think the price increase is a mix of popularity and part count. This is a lot more complex than the Datsuns so probably costs more to assemble.

@@BotsandBits I think this is more about the popularity. Part counts may add a little bit , but being Chinese KO companies the added parts may even be negligible. As an example, MP36 the 1st KO came out at a little less than 100, unless if you opt for the better copy Infinite (something I don't remember the name). A year later same $95 KO, goes for a little over $60.

Easy way to spot the KO are the logo prints, always not straight and not in the middle. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The ko guys are riding the reputation they earned doing high quality work early on, cutting corners now figuring people will just buy them from positive past experiences. I wouldn't mind paying 30-35 dollars for something of this quality and fixing it up myself but I can't justify laying out almost 60 for it.

Hahaha you miss some transformation. there is a clip at the left and right and also a clip at his belly to fix the faux chest. Thats why its wobbly.

Um with his chest moving in bot mode. You are posed to push it in, you will hear a click and then it will not move at all. Least on the official. Not sure about the KO.
