May, you did an EXCELLENT job with your review of this classic fragrance! I remember visiting Nordstrom back in 2011 when it first came out and LOVED it!!! The body cream is also excellent if you can find it.

I think this is a good concept, comparing the original and its flankers. You got a new subscriber. So speaking of Bottega Veneta line, my absolute favorites are the original(earthy and leathery) and the eau de velour(juicy and earthy). As for the rest, by the time I got into Bottega Veneta (I was into clean niche fragrances prior) the l'absulo and aromatique are discontinued. Eau de Sensuelle is the safest blind buy.

Try Daim Blond by Serge Lutens: Leather Suede and Apricot! The BV is F... Faboulous and the only patchouli I can bare. BV is what Hermès Kelly Caleche shoud have been, but did not quite master: the impression of makeup traces and powder in an expensive leather bag.

this is one of my favorite lines! i have the original edp and love it! i would love to get my hands on a bottle of the legere because the gardenia with the oakmoss accord would be heavenly to me... but its super hard to find, and hundreds of dollars on ebay :(

I absolutely AGREE!!! The Bottega Legere is my FAVORITE although I haven't smelled the others except the original. I now regret I didn't stock up on that particular flanker but I have two samples I bought on ebay..but use them sparingly!!!

Hi, I think Guerlain Shalimar Souffle EDP smells pretty close to Bottega Veneta Essence Aromatique. I have also read that Eau de Shalimar is pretty similar. Thanks so much for watching 🥰
