That first look - it was just perfect. I have never coveted an entire ensemble as much as that one. Very grown up, laid back but just brimming with quiet power. Brilliant touch with the ginger model too.

Some of the first menswear looks look straight from the Danish Girl, like masculine but with a hint of female tailoring. I don't think they are necessarily a copy of Gucci, since this is way more minimalist than what Gucci is doing at the moment

Why do all designers create the same collection as this new Gucci era ?! Everything looks so Gucci now - 70's,feminine boho chic. What happened with menswear ?! Bring dapper, preppy, dandy back!!!

+Faiz Fenty Nothing wrong with the ginger, even if we all know that Mathias is absolutely stunning.

Okay, so.. let's review. Because I did personally go back and take a look at the Menswear Fall/Winter 2016/2017 campaign for my own viewing pleasure as a person who enjoys fashion: Bottega Veneta versus Gucci are two very different extreme ends of the board for this fashion show. You picked a hat and maybe one coat, some velvet, some bag (who wasn't using velvet and bags for men's wear at the time? Not many. ) out of this show and saw the same silhouette (showed once, mind you, in Gucci). Nothing in Gucci versus Bottega, was a cut copy and if you pay enough attention to fashion, you will see that what's now called 'trending' will be cut clear across the board with most designers to keep relevant. Bottega's design silhouettes are more muted and longer, with slightly more adherence to a 'feminine' contour, whereas Gucci's show had brighter colors, excessive (not negatively) repeated patterns. Red hats, spiked shoes and the like. So, in the end, you're wrong, interestingly. I had to come back 6 years later for this review, since I'm doing a little fast forward research of my own. :)
