Yes, to your comment about doing videos about windows. We are having trouble finding a company here in southeast Michigan. So far, the only company we found with triple pane glass is Weather Shield. They seem good & American made.

Just wanted to point out there is a company called Arzel that installs pneumatic dampers at the airbox that can allow you to shut down conditioning of unimportant or lesser used rooms in the home. For those that want a forced air system.

Thanks for the info. I would like to know the mechanics and lasting value of that. I will need to research it.

How can you hold a contractor accountable for sticking to the agreed upon timeframe? Do you build an escalation clause into the contracts?
@HowToBuildYourOwnHome7 ай бұрын
You can, but then most subs will not sign that agreement. It is better to have a trusted relationship with a sub than assume the contract will force that trust. It is old school but works for me.

What software do you use for scheduling?
@HowToBuildYourOwnHome7 ай бұрын
I don't use any right now, but I have used several web-based systems. I have found I used more time on those than actually at a time talking live with subs. I am old school, I build relations and this is how I managed my schedule.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4SofWR-oLyFrKc 19.2" = ~19 3/16" between the black diamonds. 19.2" x 5 = 96.0" = 8'-0" exactly. Use 5/8" OSB for roof sheathing instead of 7/16" OSB for a quality roof (and you don't have to use those "H" clips.)
