Parrying in BOTW does not care if it's a laser. It's based on incoming damage and timing. If you can time it, you can parry every single attack in ALL of the game with a Pot Lid. Ergot, Link can beat Satan with a Pot Lid. Clear and simple.

Fun fact: Link's design was inspired by Peter Pan. Mixed with the design and graphical limitations of the original Nintendo, color palettes were at a premium and distinct shapes needed to be used in order to get the semblance of a character (that's why Super Mario has a moustache, for example, so that the nose could be distinguishable in that blocky graphics era). For this reason, it was decided that Link needed a long hat and pointy ears, leaning towards the look of an elf with colors reminiscent of Peter Pan.

A good start would be the battle of the magical girls: The Sailor Scouts (Mercury, Venus, Moon, Mars, Jupiter) from Sailor Moon vs. the Puella Magi Holy Quintet (Mami, Kyouko, Sayaka, Homura and Madoka). I never been involved with League of Legends, so Jinx is new for me. From what I got in her preview, she taken hits from a mountain buster. I don’t think Harley has survived anything like that. I’ll still cheer for her because I’m a fan of her, but I won’t be surprised if Jinx pulls through. Rooting Harley, betting nobody because unless it’s extremely one sided like Korra vs Storm was, I find it not safe to bet

Harley's a DC character. She's taken hits from gods, just like every other DC character. It's up to Death Battle what version of her they use, but sometimes they literally just use an amalgamation of every single iteration of a DC character (example: Green Lantern). Regardless, yeah, she's taken a lot of hits from characters with very nutty power levels and somehow survived. I'm a HUGE fan of both and rooting for Jinx, but Runeterra's power scaling is just so much lower than DC's. The only real advantage I honestly see Jinx having is that she's a tech genius with access to magically enhanced equipment (even her guns are magic) that's pretty much beyond Harley's comprehension and incomparable to her hammer and Joker-style gadgets. Harley definitely has the more ridiculous feats by a long shot though, on account of being a DC character.

She's supposed to be a mostly normal human, but their standards for what a "normal human" can do are pretty consistently unrealistic. Don't get me wrong, Jinx is my favorite of the two. Her world just doesn't have the kind of insane power scaling that DC does. If Jinx wins, it's gotta be because of her gadget advantage, because Harley is undoubtedly far stronger and more durable.

Nah, so the way League works is that fights on Summoners Rift were maybe technically canon. And Malphite exists on the Rift. Malphite is canonically the size of a mountain. So, given that anyone can win on the Rift, people MISTAKENLY considered that EVERYONE was mountain-tier at minimum. The problem was they "conveniently" forgot that Malphite (and many others) were scaled down for the Rift. But until the lore rework, everyone is mountain-tier minimum. Also, that Jax was invincible because he literally beat everyone. Besides Jax there was never lore on who wins or loses btw except the Ionia match which was a real life game that is considered canon. But since the lore rework Jinx is street level regular human. She probably has some "above human" feats because that's just how it goes when you're in a world of superheroes and magic, same for Harley. I'm just letting you know this because people talk about the old lore power scaling literally selectively forget these details. One detail which is merely author error is that Jax was the "first" to be restricted. But this is neither true nor has a timeline. It was stated by WoG, but it contradicts itself due to a fair portion of the roster being size restricted from the outset. Malphite and Jax were both very early (if not launch iirc) champions.

And I think honestly, the gameplay of BOTW underplays his strength. Before he died, we see the aftermath of some of his battles and it far outclasses what a conventional player would be capable of. link vs aloy is the kind of battle that could go either way. However, I think that in most cases, Link takes the win. Although aloy's arsenal is impressive, it's nothing Link can't keep up with. they are both incredibly smart and resourceful. Aloy may has better technology than link, but I think link, raw strength and reaction time tip the scale into his favour. not only that, the powers of the 4 champions are incredible. Daruk's protection says no to damage, Rivali's gale says no to gravity, Urbosa's fury says no to pretty much every enemy in link's presence, and Mypha's grace literally says no to death itself.

@@RuneKatashima actually I’m talking about the redux. Specifically about the Zelda side, I actually think it’s the best Final Fantasy fight they’ve ever done. But the research into the Zelda point of view was essentially: let’s see how many things we can have him throw at Cloud without having any kind of look into his stats, character or feats. I honestly guarantee you that that Death Battle was written with the sole intention of “Woah, this Cloud guy’s actually pretty busted in Versus matches, let’s give him a guy to fight” cause that’s all Link is in that episode: An Obstacle, they don’t even talk about how Skyward Sword Link beat Demise: The Literal Godkiller himself who can create dimensions. When you put all of Link’s Multipliers on that Link then you realise how fucked Cloud is even considering how busted he is. In complete agreement with you about Yang vs Tifa though.

That was BOTW Link at his best, and he was single handily cutting down armies. That's not really an outlier either. There is a memory cutscene in the original game where Link is just, surrounded by monsters he had just beaten, including more than one Lynel.

Also the "The staff can hack anything" argument isn't true because she needs to go to a Cauldron (robot factory) i think to be able to hack higher level robots. The staff can't hack anything it doesn't know about and im pretty sure the slate counts as one of those things. Also link can stop her in time and magnetise her armor. In the game if you do a perfect dodge you can slow down time and attack really fast, that is a actually thing he can always just do in the lore. He once defeated multiple Lynels (Strongest non boss enemie) and other monsters with only mild injuries pretty quickly. He can also summon a bycicle that can go so fast it lags the game and also wouldn't be able to get hacked. Also his guardian arrows would vaporise her and his guardian armor is really tough. Link is just to super human for Alloy

I don’t understand how anyone thinks Aloy could beat Link, dude has over a dozen generations of fighting experience, extensive magical weapons and armor from numerous games, and the Fierce Deity form is a god damn planet buster. The only reason Cloud won is because they counted Sephiroth’s attack as an actual supernova. Anyone who thinks Aloy could ever beat Link is wrong. And that’s a scientific fact. If we’re talking Breath of the Wild Link, then y’all need to remember he still has the generational memory, and he has the champion abilities. His reflexes are fast enough to dodge and deflect lasers, putting his speed at 1/10th the speed of light, and he has Stasis and Bomb runes.

I think saying link can beat his enemies with wooden swords is a testament to how strong link is and not how weak the enemies are. Nobody says, “oh doom guys demons are weak. They get beat by bare fists”. Also basing links ability to win with just the shieka slate is dumb. Link is strong without it, he just needs the slate to open doors and dungeons.

Death Battle suggestion; Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy 7 and Dirge Of Cerberus, versus Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate (Ideally the Abridged version). Both red clothed pretty much vampires with guns, both have magical abilities and transformations, it's even possible for Vincent to have a Holy weapon if he had Alexander linked to an Elemental materia in his weapon. I'd say Alucard has an advantage but I think Vincent in his Chaos form could put up a reasonable fight. Worth keeping on the back burner for a Halloween special, perhaps?

Would’ve been great if Liam hadn’t half assed his research and ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME FOR LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES!! Dude, everyone knew more about the game more than he did, and the only thing he knew he looked up during the episode was that Lizalfos can camouflage. What a professional 👍🏽 He didn’t mentioned ONCE how fast Link is with flurry rush, bullet time, and parrying. Oh, and then he pulls stuff out of his ass when he says Sheikah technology is magic. 🤦🏽‍♂️ Nowhere in the game does it say that. No where. But everywhere in the game calls is TECHNOLOGY. Not to mention that he has a huge arsenal in this game, including Savage Lynel bows, which can shoot up to 5 arrows, Ancient bow, which shoots perfectly straight, a plethora of huge clubs, giant swords, spears, and he has access to the champions abilities, including and especially Urbosa’s Fury. Oh, and stasis shows enemies that are camouflaged. Seriously, it seems he did his “research” 2 minutes before the podcast started by looking at a Wikipedia page. I know Link won in the popularity vote, but the actual answer is: can Aloy handle Link’s extreme speed and Urbosa’s Fury? If not, then yeah Link would win.

My prediction is that Jinx is going to win simply because from the intro videos posted before most everything is the same except that Jinx has the ability to recreate magical tools and she has access to the teleporter. As far as I can remember from lore there aren't any modifications made to Harley Quinn she's just a normal human being while Jinx was injected with shimmer. Could be wrong, we'll see
