I’m likely going to come off poorly here, but as a returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Mali in the mid 80’s (and was thereby introduced to the music of Fela Koute, Ali Farka Toure, Miriam Makeba, Youssou, Ndour, Alpha Blondy, etc) , what’s this white guy doing? He isn’t supporting Boubacar’s Afrcan beats as much as he is intruding his own musical heritage on top of Boubacar’s… rather than in support thereof For a more truly collaborative ensemble, may I recommend the Roots Revival series…

I’m a musician who’s been playing for over 43 years. Music is universal and he sounds great. There is no reason for gatekeeping and you aren’t a curator of what we’re supposed to like or not like. I think you are just expressing cultural bias….

@@ARSergey Does not do what it says on the can. The title of the video is Boubakar Traore not Bouboucar Traore and Vincent Boucher. The harmonica player significantly dilutes the billing and I never heard Traore suffer so much from another musician like that. He was raped.we were deceived. Traore was demoted to being the backing guitarist to the showcased harmonica. You could measure the number of notes played and Bouche would win hands down. A travesty.
