First off, a good review. That said at about 1.25 into the video you said "modified" inverter. I search the tech specs on the Bouge website and could not find if it's a modified or pure sine wave inverter anywhere. Perhaps good reason? I thought modified sine wave inverters were a thing of the past. To me it's a game changer vs pure sine. The power station is small and portable but only provides a 150W output. Price with discount is decent but for my money I'd go with another tried and true Bluetti EB3A with a 600W pure sine output at not much more $ even without a discount. JMO.

I was surprised I had to scan so far down in the comments to find anyone mentioning that it was modified sine wave instead of pure sine wave.

I just picked up a similar smaller device from Renogy. In Canada itvwas on sale for 190CAD for a 222wh, 200watt output. By comparison the BougeRV 220Wh portable on their Canadian website is on sale right now for 270CAD. That's a pretty wide margin for similar performing products.

I bought one with two of the panels for an upcoming bicycle tour of the south-west. Perfect size and weight for my panniers. I hope it holds up to the rigors of camping for 9 to 12 months! We'll see ... Great stuff, Tom.

TBT video, with all of the entertaining content! Looks like a pretty good value at $199, and the 20% makes it even sweeter. Something like this could power your home internet router during a power outage of several hours.

I purchased the JuiceGo to use with a Starlink Mini (PD 100W, 20V/5A). The specs show it should work but it doesn’t. Output shows 1W to 4W. The 12V port works great with the Mini. So does the ac, test only. Won’t use modified sine. I verified my DC5521 to PD 100W cord is good. Runs great on all my Bluetti power stations and Anker Prime power banks. I’m going to return it and try one more to see if I got one with a defective port.

Was looking for a power station that I could fit in my backpack for long onewheel rides and use to charge it. It being only 150watt output wasn’t enough plus the wh being so low wasn’t great either. Went with ryobi 40v batteries and the 300watt inverter instead.

Excellent presentation. Thank you. Would be nice if this unit had some 5521 12v outputs. The Bluetti EB3A is about $180 with coupons now and is in the same size and capacity class. It has much better 12v output options, a more powerful inverter, charging input and weights in at 10lbs. I have one of the older Energizer PPS240's that you reviewed a couple of years ago. That unit is very close to this one as well. To this day, I still use the heck out of it as it is a really good size (6lbs) for the features.

I'm not well versed in amps and watts. So would something like this run my wife's cpap for how many straight hours? I don't think a 150 watt inverter would run a cpap, or would it
@HOBOTECH7 ай бұрын
CPAPs take 30-60w depending on model and settings.
@markmonroe73307 ай бұрын
You need to get one of those inexpensive killowatt meters to actually verify the watt requirements. Once you know the watt draw you can divide the 230 that Hobo tested on this one by your draw to get the hours. So if it draws say 50 watts, you could run this unit for almost 5 hours on this unit. The kilowatt meter is very, very useful for checking stuff around the house so it can come in handy for a lot of things. Most of the newer batteries like this one, have a watt meter on them so once you get your first unit, you can also use it to see how many watts stuff draws too.
@douglaswindsor1207 ай бұрын
Most CPAP machines use an adapter to bring 120 volts AC to 12 volts DC so why would you waste capacity converting DC to AC only to bring it back to DC get an adapter to plug the CPAP machine into a auxiliary power port the only thing I haven't figured out is why an adapter from the company is almost 3 hundred and one from my dealer is under 40 dollars even if the dealership one is regulated it shouldn't cost that much and also most units with lithium batteries are already regulated so a simple cord with a CPAP machine plug on one end and a cigarette lighter plug on the other is all you need after all I've seen and confirmed modified sine wave inverters are deadly for electronics my DeWalt battery charger had solder joints melted my battery maintainer had the same I wondered why they quit working and after watching utube video's I took the units apart the DeWalt was easy as the wire was still in the hole so resolder it but the maintainer the wire was loose and there was Multiple options

It really doesn't matter because anything under 150w likely is using a power brick anyway. It might be an issue with a digital TV or stereo that plugs in directly.
