Kirk's Folly was originally sold on QVC, I used to collect it had hundreds of pieces and sold it all on eBay. The owner of the company lives in Rhode Island and it is a women owned company and their last name is Kirk.

Hi, the wooden box is made from spalted wood. Spalting is any form of wood coloration caused by fungi 🍄. Oh, and I realy love your channel 😊👍🏻

Joslin, I have the same metal allergies to metal jewelry, and even metal buckles, or buttons on jeans that touch my skin on the inside part of the buttons. I can also wear stainless steel. If I have costume jewelry I want to wear I have to wear it over, or on my clothing. Or I paint the part of the metal that would touch my skin ( chain, charm, earing stems, etc ) with clear fingernail polish. I even use it on the inside part of the button on a pair of jeans. I touch up the costume jewelry any time I wear it. I no longer have problems with cheap metal. It's the nickel in cheap jewelry that we are reacting to.

16:44 that is spalted maple wood. The black lines are spalting, which is fungus. It is usually the first signs of the breakdown of wood exposed to the elements. Heavy spalting leads to "punk" wood which easily powders and falls apart.

I love the jewelry in the boxes. In the velvet box with the silver jewelry, if the ring is a star sapphire, it should fetch mucho moola. Star sapphires have been mined out. The only way to get one is to buy an old piece. Love all the glass pieces. And to be a smart a__, the little box is box wood. I like Andrew's stuff. I have a cabin made of popsicle sticks. Great haul.

for your allergy to metals... lower or eliminate for awhile peanuts and chocolate.. and don't handle or eat unpeeled potatoes. At the same time, increase as much as you can tolerate it.. cilantro and mango.. the more the better. This will balance your body chemistry and its reaction to metal. After doing this for a few months, you only need to regulate as needed and can wear whatever you want.
