Two PCs for only 10 euros on Ebay classified ads ... the offer is too good not to buy. According to the seller, both PCs should work, but are still without RAM modules 🤔️. The power supplies are definitely adventurous, in contrast to the beautiful gaming mainboards. But apart from a black screen and a beeping loudspeaker, nothing can be seen on the first PC.
The Abit mainboard KN9 SLI is a very good gaming mainboard from 2006 and has the OTES technology mentioned by Abit, which cleverly dissipates the heat from the chipset / north bridge with a heat pipe through the IO shield. At that time, the manufacturers of the mainboards were already aware of the heat problem of the chipsets.
Instead of good heat dissipation, the Asus motherboard M3A-H / HDMI from 2008 simply has a large cooler on the chipset and, as was to be expected, it heats up to a decent 50 degrees. Asus has made significant savings on heat dissipation 😕️
