@AMD Guru That “ignorant kid” has a much better grasp of the rights afforded to him by the Constitution than you clearly do. He was right, and the officer was wrong. The problem with your ignorant, uniformed, and unlettered premise is that by NOT standing up to these oversteps by law enforcement, it is tacitly abetting - and ultimately encouraging - these violations of rights. What is interesting is that when other folks’ rights are being violated by those entrusted with the privilege of enforcing the law, folks like you are pro-government. But, the very instant they feel like their rights are being infringed upon, the world is essentially ending. Ironic, isn’t it? Then-Officer Smyly is not good LEO material. He allows his emotions and ego to drive his actions, to include interactions with his then-superiors. Interestingly, many of those same traits were exhibited in your post. And, lest you say, “Meh! That cop needed to have his law enforcement certification stripped from him so he can never go to another police precinct and repeat the same and same tactics that he did to that young man, I hope he sued the police officer and the department for every penny he could get out of them

Resignation is not accountability lmao he needs to be criminally prosecuted.

Officer Smiley was one of the eight stooges there. Out of the 7 not one had the courage to say sorry and walk away even after it was confirmed he lived there. So its just not one officer, what about the remaining 7?

So if he calls the police if a burglar brakes in to his house with a gun and starts shooting at him and he calls 911 Should the 911 dispatcher and the police say we don't know if you live here why should we listen to you
@B_radd2 жыл бұрын
No one was shooting, no one broke into the house, no one called 911. Did you watch the video before you posted?
@johnp2452 жыл бұрын
@@B_radd yes I did. The simple answer is. If you take nice and answer nice without Swearing and throwing a fit like a baby None of it would have happened and the police would have been out of their way sooner without so many Of them
@B_radd2 жыл бұрын
@@johnp245 the simple answer is, if the ex cop would not stopped and demanded ID from someone doing yard work, none of this would have happened. Plus he would still be a cop and not costed the taxpayers 200k for this unlawful stop. I'm curious do you think victims should be polite to criminals?
@johnp2452 жыл бұрын
@@B_radd no not at all. But apparently you do! If he wasn't doing yardwork and was moving things out of his house or someone ELSE was taking things out of his house should the police not stop and see if they should be there. And if it was a burglar and he started yelling and getting irritated like that should the police just say sorry for bothering you and walk away?
@B_radd2 жыл бұрын
@@johnp245 ok so I'm gonna guess and say your not from the USA. Police here have no authority to just stop random people doing yard work or moving and demand they prove what there doing or where they live. In the USA we don't even have to speak with the police if we do not want to or to even own an ID. I get that in your country this type of policing maybe ok but here it is considered illegal, rude and unprofessional. Police need RAS of a crime and cannot go around making false claims.
