That ignorant kid had a weapon in his hand and refused to drop it several times. Had the ignorant liberal kid just answered the officer's questions, the officer would have been able to prove he lived there and he would have moved on. However, when someone acts like this baby acted, he becomes a threat, especially when officers are killed EVERY WEEK by people acting this way! YOU ARE WRONG! The weapon is used to protect the officer, nothing more. Had the stupid kid acted like an adult, was respectful and obeying the commands of the officer, AND THEN the officer pulled out his weapon. At that point, I would think you was correct. But that didn't happen did it?! HELL NO! Ignorant liberals are ruining America with garbage like this!
@Soontobeusbp

@AMD Guru That “ignorant kid” has a much better grasp of the rights afforded to him by the Constitution than you clearly do. He was right, and the officer was wrong. The problem with your ignorant, uniformed, and unlettered premise is that by NOT standing up to these oversteps by law enforcement, it is tacitly abetting - and ultimately encouraging - these violations of rights. What is interesting is that when other folks’ rights are being violated by those entrusted with the privilege of enforcing the law, folks like you are pro-government. But, the very instant they feel like their rights are being infringed upon, the world is essentially ending. Ironic, isn’t it? Then-Officer Smyly is not good LEO material. He allows his emotions and ego to drive his actions, to include interactions with his then-superiors. Interestingly, many of those same traits were exhibited in your post. And, lest you say, “Meh! You’re just another liberal cop-hating millennial! Meh!”, A) I am not a millennial and B) have sixteen years of time in grade working for a federal law enforcement agencies.

This man did absolutely nothing to warrant what happened to him. This was an outrage. Not because of race. But because of a basic lack of humanity. The cop asked for something with his address on it. Not a single person in college changes their drivers license to reflect their dorm room. Not to mention he could have been out of state. It was racially profiling. The cop was setting the kid up when he called a trash clamper a “weapon “ and a “blunt object “; and said the kid was being uncooperative. He knew the reaction the cops would have when they arrived on scene and saw a black man.

The cop was escalating because he didn't feel his authority was being respected and because his judgement is terrible. He doesn't stop to think he's not respecting this guys civil and human rights. Stop treating people like criminals. I hope he finds some lime of work more suited to him, like package handling. Anything that doesn't involve the public.

Allowed to resign and walk away on a paid vacation after treating someone like this. No wonder the US is all screwed up. I live in another country and I have to say I would hate to live there with the pathetic examples of LEO's that continually find their way on to here. You think after they see 1,000s of their colleagues on here screwing up they would clean up their act. Of course they don't have to. Because when they screw up they simply get a paid vacation.

@B_radd
@B_radd 2 жыл бұрын
@@johnp245 ok so I'm gonna guess and say your not from the USA. Police here have no authority to just stop random people doing yard work or moving and demand they prove what there doing or where they live. In the USA we don't even have to speak with the police if we do not want to or to even own an ID. I get that in your country this type of policing maybe ok but here it is considered illegal, rude and unprofessional. Police need RAS of a crime and cannot go around making false claims.
