Boule Noire - Constance (World Tribute to the Funk Live 2003)

Boule Noire (born George Thurston) was a french-speaking artist who rose to international fame during the disco era and mantained a steady and successful recording carreer up to his death in 2007. He was then defined "the Quebecois Stevie Wonder" - his native land - by Quebec Minister of Culture. "Aimes Tu la Vie Comme Moi?" was his first hit, followed by the "Aimer d'amour" album, who sold hundred of thousand copies worldwide; his latter records too proved to be successful, like his 1995 renditions of Beatles's "Let it Be". A staple of french contemporary music.
Boule Noire (al secolo George Thurston) fu un interprete di lingua francese giunto alla fama durante l'era della disco che riuscì però sempre a mantenere una carriera di successo fino alla sua morte avvenuta nel 2007. In quel momento venne definito "lo Stevie Wonder del Quebec", dal ministro della cultura della sua terra d'origine. "Aimes Tu la Vie Comme Moi?" fu il suo primo brano di successo, seguito dall'album "Aimer d'amour", che vendette centinaia di migliaia di copie in tutto il mondo; anche i suoi dischi più recenti si dimostrarono capaci di ottenere successo, come la sua interpretazione di "Let it Be" dei Beatles nel 1995. Boule Noire è un pilastro della musica contemporanea in lingua francese.
