Growing up here in the 70's this was THE mall where you did all your shopping. Maryland Square across the street with Wonder World! I always loved going to the Boulevard because of the fountain under the dome (you can see it in some of the old pictures in the hallway you passed). See's Candy was by the main entrance and my dad would always get a $1 worth of fudge on the way out. Back then it was good for 5 to 6 pieces - ha!

I love American malls because I studied abroad in Canada in the 90s. The design hasn’t changed much but it’s very comfortable. They are very large and uses natural light. Thank you for the video, brings me memories.

Nice to see a mall in Las Vegas! Looks clean and not so busy from what I am seeing. I think years ago, my sister and her husband drove by this place. She told me there was an abandoned Sears connected to the mall. I miss going to Las Vegas. Great video otherwise!

Hey Andy I heard about a Sears here but I think they converted it to something else. I wanted to visit other places but I didn't have a car rental. There was alot of abandoned places in Vegas. Thanks for watching Andy!

Those old school looking white tornado funnel supports in the center of the mall hallway and carriage lamps on each side are awesome.

Great video!! Dig the simple walkaround with all the empty corridor sounds in the background!

This mall had the Jazz like Vaporwave playing already. I didnt have to add it post production.

Hi TeknBolt! I've never been to Vegas so it's interesting to see this mall. It's a pretty big mall. I'm surprised it's so empty though since it's only a week before Christmas. By comparison the malls in Paramus would be jam packed right before Christmas. But maybe that was back in the day, I don't know about these days because I haven't been to the Paramus malls in a long time. A lot of people shop online now so malls seem to be another thing gradually falling by the wayside. Thanks for another great video!

Hey Terri, Yeah, the Garden State Plaza in Paramus is always packed, especially around the holidays it's hard to find a parking spot! I’ve been thinking about touring that mall one day. As for the Boulevard Mall, its more of a local shopping spot, and it didn’t have many of the big anchor stores you'd see in larger malls. By the way, have you seen the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High? I know it’s a movie, but was that how malls were back in the early '80s? It’s always interesting to think about how malls have changed over the years! Thanks again for the kind words and for watching!

@@TeknBolt That movie exaggerated mall life a bit but yeah they were gathering spots, especially for teens on a Friday night. Some places it got to where they had to start curfews and chaperones.

Hey! You’re not allowed to go to fancy clean malls!!! Now go film the super dead Prizm Outlets in Primm, NV. If you’re still in Vegas you seriously have to go see that place! The artwork above all the dead abandoned stores has a lot of evil symbolism.

Dude, If I could I would've this was more of work related travel to vegas than a vacation I had to attend a conference and was only at vegas for 3 days hotel and food payed by the company. There was alot of abandoned places I wanted to visit but I didnt have a car rental. And the prices for Uber were adding up quickly every hour at Vegas were peak prices. So I went to the closest mall from where I was staying. There was an abandoned Kmart and an abandoned stripmall but my time there was very limited hopefully next time I can go again because there was alot of interesting places.

@@TeknBoltyea, all good. Same for me. I have done Vegas a few times but it’s always been for work. There’s a lot in Vegas that I don’t think is documented in our dead retail groups here on YT.

@@TeknBolt Is that the abandoned Kmart and strip mall at Rainbow Dunes Centre? FYI, that old Kmart closed back in 2003. I've always wanted to go there. Haven't been to Vegas for 6 years already!
@TeknBolt7 күн бұрын
@AndysRetailExploration Yes it was the Abandoned Rainbow Dunes strip mall. There was also 2 Abandoned Kmarts. I think there was one with a fence around it and the other one I didn't see. Also during the Uber ride to the mall I saw an abandoned Burger King. And also the Abandoned 99cent only store.
