This video is terrific, thank you! I would enjoy seeing more content like this. Also, I’ve been playing a different deck each week to maximize the use of my cards. With the new set coming out next week, I’ve decided I need to settle on a deck and keep playing/fine tuning it. This deck fits my play style, so this has been very helpful.

Oh, thank you! I hope it was helpful. This was a challenging video to make. It’s a fun deck. I seldom feel like I’m out of a game…unless it’s emerald steel…sometimes that one is rough 😅

Oh wow this is really close to my deck that I took, since sets I’ve added 2 ursula DOa and almost resembles this exactly. This deck performs sooo good, I gave many players a run for their money.

Oh, awesome! It seldom feels like you’re out of a game, right? Just a fun deck to play, I feel like!

Other games use the word tempo, but this is a true tempo deck 💚💜

As the player who met you in Top 8 and went to a nail-biting Game 3, I am disappointed there was no mention of Mufasa in the match-ups section. 50-50 though, right? 🤣
@Illumiteers8 ай бұрын
Haha, yes. Sorry about omitting that! I DO think it’s a 50/50 matchup. Play/Draw has a HUGE impact on this one! As is evidenced by our match! Speaking of our match…I really want to know how you adapt your deck in the next meta. For anyone reading this, Austin is a MASTER at the Ruby-fasa. Ask him your Mufasa questions. I was super lucky to make it past him to make the quarterfinals.

Thanks for the vid, i was curious to have your opinion on a 3 drop rafiki instead of 2 maleficent to have more board option control ? I found good use of him to kill by surprise some Ariel or Ursula after a song
@Illumiteers8 ай бұрын
I think that could be a good meta call. Honestly, Maleficent is one of the cards that, I think, underperforms in this deck. So subbing her out is not a difficult call. My only issue with Rafiki is the uninkable bit. Being uninkable, you basically HAVE to play him if he’s in your hand. And if he’s not useful in a particular scenario, he’s not super useful. 3 cost for one lore. But, I think it’s not a terrible call. It largely depends on the meta you are expecting. Against most control, he’s not terribly useful. Against steel song, aggro, and some green steel decks, he could be great.

I came to this after facing a lot of amber Steel song, and having trouble with their board spread, mim is great but you have to bounce back someone and you only have 4 copies of her. At the moment rafiki 3 is at 2 copies not more, which make my uninkable at 13 : 4 cursed, 4 rabbit, 3 Mother knows Best and the 2 rafiki 3 drop. I don't use the pinocchios because of a lack of résilience if i'm not ahead mid to late game, but i totally get the value, especially early in the mirror match of other aggro deck, Again thanks for your answer

Ah, “fail to find”. A TCG player’s rite of passage. Learn it, love it, live it.
