2000 - 2007 Ford Mondeo MK3 Glovebox Handle Replacement How To

A simple video on how to replaceme the handle of the glovebox on a Ford Mondeo MK3.
Perfect if you've broken the handle on the glovebox like I did!
Suitable for 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 models
This particular one was on a 2007 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Zetec

@@EdShum Was it already open when you took it apart? Mine has broken while I tried to open it, and I have no idea what i can wedge between the panel gap to push the lever on the middle to get it to open

@@KainRazielMT mine was locked in the close position.. I used a screw driver to force it open. There's a video on KZbin somewhere, where a guy used a tool almost shaped like a ruler, but with a bend in it. He slides it to release the latch. Mine broke because I forced the glovebox open. Hence why I had to replace the part. Hope it goes well and my video was at least a bit helpful.

Edmund, thanks for your video. Easy to understand I woke this am to find my wife’s couldn’t get the car to start at 645 am. Big shock, cos our mondeo is pretty reliable. Several years now However, couldn’t fix it cos the insurance stuff was trapped in the glove compartment. Any idea how to open it?

Not sure, I had to break the handle to open mine. Hence why I had to replace the handle. Did you have any luck?

How did you unlock it? Because mine has broken and i cant’t unlock it in order to fix it

Hi, I used a screwdriver, slipped it into the glove box, and tried to move the catch that way. Hope you have it sorted.
