Taking a look and testing the Boundless Voyage Titanium Alcohol Stove. This could be my new favorite alcohol stove. #BoundlessVoyage #AlcoholStove #BoundlessVoyageTitanium

I made a simmer ring for the original Trangia. Lighter than the one that comes with the stove and produces a round flame, more like a sterno. Top 3/4 inch of a pop can with the top panel removed. Snuffer is the bottom 1/2 inch of a Fancy Feast can. Both together slightly lighter than the brass.

Although Evernew sell a wire frame to support the burner for Trangia size holders I tend to use the Trangia gel burner and drop the Evernew into that. Provides the back up of using gel or hexamine tablet. The Bounndless Voyage seems to be the perfect Titanium alcohol burner for the Nano though.

Looks like a nice little stove. I have only used the Solo (Trangia knock-off) but I have been happy with alcohol. That one really looks like it burns well.

Good video, firebox stoves are my favorite, that titanium stove seems to work alright along with the firebox…..

At this point I have more than 30 stoves, half being alcohol based. I cut the side of a denatured alcohol can out and made a plate with a hole in it to support my evernew in my Nano. Works perfect, weighs nothing and fits nicely in my black nylon nano pouch. I just bought the lixada titanium siphon (toaks knock-off) and I love it. I own at least seven trangias. You can never beat the fancy feast alcohol stove either. Cheap to make and very efficient.

Lixada syphon stove rocks - 10 seconds bloom only. and comparable to gas stove boil times.

Funnily enough, I just got that exact stove in the mail. I'm going to try it out at the weekend. I may do a comparison test between it, the evernew, and a trangia.

That would be a great test. Thanks for watching and the comment.

Boundless Voyage is my go to when searching for titanium products, if this little thing had a screw on lid I'd probably buy it, they sell great quality products at a better price than other brands. Thanks for the video

Same here, I want a screw on lid.

Gram for gram, easy to store in a pack and just straight up versatility? Imo, NOTHING...beats the Trangia burner in a Firebox Ultralight Nano Stove, especially if you can afford the Titanium version which is SO worth it. Alcohol, Solid fuel, Charcoal, Wood? If it burns? It works! and it makes a great windscreen/stove for a gas burner, all at 4 ounces including a cute little metal storage bin that of course, doubles an your ash catch. Checkmarks in the Win column all the way down the list. 😉

The big issue I have with any alcohol burner other than the Trangia, is getting the unused fuel out of it after you’re done. No one ever shows that.

Yeah to the bane of my better half I may have a mild stove addiction. Well maybe camping, hiking, and survival gear as a whole.

Many worse things to have an addiction to.

It does have a simmer, you flip the lid over. Notice how the metal is crimped. When you flip the lid over it blocks the inner burn holes, leaving the outer lit. Decreases fuel consumption and cuts heat way down.

Cool! I will have to try that out. Thanks

I actually like this burner. As you say it doesn't have a simmer ring but in all honesty I never use the simmer rings on alcohol stoves anyway.

Have you done any testing of sitting the stove on the bottom of the firebox mini? Steve on the Firebox channel was showing faster boil times that way. I think the fire sticks are so you can use the simmer ring on a Trangia.

I will have to give that a try. Thanks for watching and the commnet.

Could the suffer off the other burner work on that burner ? Looked like You put a lot of fuel in for one cup of water ( ? long for 2 cups water to boil , don't know what You would do with 1 cup water )

Winter is in the way for us.* Time for stoves, stoves and more stoves. * I use the term winter loosely. Here it is rare to go below freezing overnight. The days are around 10-17°C.
@BarnYardOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
We had a pretty mild winter here. I am definitely ready for Spring and Summer.

Very nice video. Informative :) Would it work well with the Wild woodgas stove (supplement fir wood)?
@BarnYardOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I do not have that stove to test it with. But if a trangia burner will fit in the Wild Woodgas Stove….the Boundless Voyage burner would work too.

Great video, 2 questions: How easy/hard is to save unused fuel left over in the stove? Thanks
@BarnYardOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
You can pour the fuel out, but it is challenging and plan on spilling some.

I have used a pipette from Amazon which looks like a mini turkey baster. I use small, refillable, squeeze bottles which come with a little funnel to help refilling. One squeeze bottle carries the maximum for the burner. I find this burner is quite fuel hungry compared to a Trangia but throws out a lot of heat.
@allemander2 жыл бұрын
Did the snuffer extinguish the flame immediately? In another video, it did not seem to. Why didn’t you show it?
@BarnYardOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
The snuffer worked fine. No issues.

Would that fit on the firebox stove ?
@BarnYardOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely.
@jarmosalonen20682 жыл бұрын
From what i can see, it is not a stove but a burner. Evernew is a stove as a pot can be put on top of it.

this what got me confused when i went through trangia's web site today. all there stove setup's take the same burner.

so you basically cant store alcohol while transporting the stoves... sounds extremly stupid for me... And fuel leakage? I dont think so If you have a real Trangia. A friend of mine EDCs his Trangia since many years and never had any issues and I do the same and have absolutly no problems. I store my trangia even upsidedown to cheack if he is leaking but nothing! those things are tight as can be!
