If I got discharged chap 7 bankruptcy 2 years ago but now have no debt and I have around $300k to put down as a payment and a stable job for past 3 years in a house do you think I can still qualify

After a discharged chap 7 the waiting period before you can buy a home is 2 years for most loan types. The biggest mistake I have seen my clients make is that they overcorrect. Meaning that they get scared of getting into debt again. When they finally feel ready, the lender pulls their credit and they don't have any. All they have is the old bankruptcy. The solution is to establish new credit that is being paid on time and allowed to carry over slightly to prove you can handle the debt.
