Challenging yourself in this way is something most skaters probably don’t do. We tend to get comfortable with our go-to tricks, and our skating evolves within the box of tricks we’re comfortable with. And that’s not a bad thing, guys like Tom Penny sorta embody that notion: had a bag of tricks, did them better and with more style than anyone else. You’ve been professionally consistent with virtually all the standard skate tricks, and that in itself is saying a lot, and it’s what use to define pro skating. But, this sort of practice with the consistency you have as a skater, and your ability to learn new things rapidly, will put you on a Marc Johnson, Guy Mariano, Daewon sorta trajectory…in the sense that it will widen your repertoire, reshape your style, and make you less predictable. It’s the sort of thing where you start to create a greater separation between you and other skaters. I think your commitment to becoming so consistent with the foundational tricks of skating, will make this next level of progression for you that much more tangible.

Thumbs up if Powell should turn Zach pro! You're killing it Zach this series is dope! Deville, we need that Zach pro model day 1 of re asking!
@Connor-xz7kn22 күн бұрын
Zach won’t ever be pro because. Making KZbin videos where you can ninja kickflip doesn’t make you a pro. His street parts simply aren’t pro level. Idk why Powells new thing is pretending their KZbin skaters are better than they are. They’re all fun to watch skate and seem like nice guys. But almost none of them are pro skater caliber. Go watch Fun from 100 years ago and compare it to Chris doing a blunt kick flip fakie in a jersey barrier or Zach doing some flip trick down a 6 stair.

Love the Sam Dutzel shoutout! This video is amazing. Hope you're really proud of yourself for knocking all of these out. The nollie backside flip switch 5-0 is such a sick trick. I'm struggling with back tail kickflips (maybe I should start kickflipping in, haha), and this video gives me the inspiration to go work on them for a few hours this weekend. 😆

Foot lower forsure helps. I always thought with flip in stuff the trick has to be already done. It's a hard way to go about it but your really using your flip trick as the oillie. When you make those changes you board can kinda rocket and do weird things but it will make the board flip faster. After that it's small adjustments. Mostly timing. I know you a kickflip backtail guy. When you do that trick your so set up your not even thinking about the flick. It's already set. Your jump or Ollie and it just goes. But that's for one trick. Idk man this series is awesome. You definitely get me hyped all the time. I hope one day yall come to binghamton. I hope by then I'm back on a board.

Isn't that more of a bigger flip back tail than a 360 flip 😒🤔😏⁉️ I'm pretty sure it spun more than it's supposed to 🤯
@ZachDoelling25 күн бұрын
Yeah, it is. But also a Tre flip back tail. We discussed the trick before I did it so I knew the right one to do!
@SherlockHolmes-r8u25 күн бұрын
@ZachDoelling then I guess that's just the proper way and everyone else just does varial flip backtail 🤣
@cyclopsentertainment51725 күн бұрын
@SherlockHolmes-r8u varial flip back tail and bigflip back tail is basically the same trick. The only difference is how you come out. If you come out to fakie as if your finishing the 180 in a bigflip then it's a bigflip back tail. If you go out to regular then it'd a varial flip back tail. At least that's my understanding of it.
@smithersskatepark25 күн бұрын
That was not a bigspin-blunt. That was a pop-shove-blunt. For a bigspin-blunt you have to land fakie for the bigspin to be a bigspin. (All bigspins land 180 from popped position) *If you think I am wrong, please tell me what a pop-shove-blunt is... But I am not wrong, so you'll have to re-do your bounty trick so that you don't swindle your challengers.
@ZachDoelling25 күн бұрын
Well you’re wrong, but it’s all good. Find the trick I did in any thrasher magazine sequence and see what the caption reads. You’ll never see anything other than bigspin blunt.
@brandonw.206625 күн бұрын
@@ZachDoelling These keyboard warriors are wild. That trick was a bigspin blunt and was great.
@ZachDoelling25 күн бұрын
@@brandonw.2066it’s all good, I understand why he thinks it’s a shove blunt, and it is that combination of tricks. Skateboarding names are weird tho and we know this is of course a Bigspin blunt
@smithersskatepark25 күн бұрын
@@ZachDoelling What is a pop-shove blunt slide then? Think about the logic. Not what mainstream perpetuates. The way mainstream names tricks nullifies many tricks that should exists and confuses people. Thrasher captions are wrong more often than not.

@@smithersskateparkwell here is my logic, I know better to argue with someone who thinks every am, pro, and skate publication is wrong and they are right. You got me 😂
