he's describing redlining, the bank practice (supported by the local governments) did not grant mortgages to blacks in certain towns and neighborhoods based exclusively on their race (credit checks were not even a thing yet). my uncle was a career banker and has told me first person experiences from this time, just completely unchecked segregation.

That's FL, not CA. CA 3 strike law is if you catch 3 violent cases, upon conviction of the 3rd strike, you have to serve a mandatory 25 to life. So, you're close, but not quite.

@@Maniakk44 I was trying to think of what it was specifically, but it escaped me at the time, but you're absolutely right. Correct me if I'm wrong: 10 if you pull it, 20 if you shoot it, and life if it hits someone?

@@anthonyleyva Yeah. Actually I think it's 10 for being in possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony whether you pull it or not. But other than that yeah you're right. And it's all mandatory time so no gain time. Only thing that trumps 10-20-Life is Youthful Offender sentence is you're under 21 which is how I avoided the 20.

Yes, they should because it's not that long ago. 1964-1968 various laws being passed, Civil Rights Act. These laws take a few years to roll in and affect ordinary people. 1970-1980s you have people like BJ being born, that's not a large gap from Jim Crow Laws. 1968 Civil Rights Act gets passed, people didn't just turn off their racism OVERNIGHT. Must've take a few months or years. People born in the 1970s-1980s are still alive...

Every time I hear about the bloods, crips, vice lords, gangster disciples, Black P Stones, Folk Nation, People Nation….if all these gangs, and the one’s I didn’t even mention got together and joined forces like the Italians did with Cosa Nostra we would without a doubt be running the streets. The life is no where near what it used to be but it’s still money to be made out there if that’s the route you choose to take. Imagine the lives that didn’t senselessly have to be lost all over a color or what side your hat is turned to, the OG said it in this video, the clicks started because of the yt gangs terrorizing our neighborhoods, how did that turn to us terrorizing each other? It really ain’t no winners in gangs, everybody loses, and that’s just how the you know who’s wanted it to be.
