Bounty Hunting School: How to hunt down player bounties | SWG: Legends 2023

How I hunt down player bounties, for the novice bounty hunter starting out to see how it goes.

MORE HELPFUL INFO BELOW: Arakyd Probe Droids - To see what planet they're on, only usable outside of city limits. Takes 20 seconds to come down to you once called, and 1 min 30 seconds to tell you what planet they're on/if they're in a private house that you can't enter/if they're in a heroic instance. Example "Located in the vicinity of Mos Espa, Tatooine" which would tell you they're in the Tusken Invasion Heroic Instance. Seeker Droids - To get updated waypoints to where they are, once you go to the planet they're on. Drop two, one for identify first, then one after for tracking. Identify takes 50 seconds for a one time waypoint to where they are, and then tracking takes 1 min 20 seconds and gives continuous waypoints (there's a certain amount of them before it stops but I haven't counted them). Nym's Stronghold - Closest place to call an ITV to a starport, right behind it over the hill. G9 Rigger ITV - Getting this is highly recommended as you can save 3 specific points you can ITV to that you create, such as in the video, in front of my house. Obtained through the Secrets of the Syren questline. Snowspeeder ITV - Can be bought with credits on vendor search, about 13 mil on average, or obtained through Hoth heroic tokens. Functions the same way as the G9 Rigger ITV, except it can only save 2 spots. However you can have both of them for a total of 5 spots. If you aren't in a city and can't have the mayor place a bounty terminal outside of your house, there's many cities throughout the galaxy that have bounty terminals outside of their city hall, so you could use that to call droids on the city hall steps. Or, you could just save an ITV spot to my house in Oriya Vhetin, Talus. Waypoint can be found while I'm there in the video underneath my mini map in the top right. I fully believe in stamina 35's and stacking ACR as a Bounty Hunter. I experimented with using less ACR in the first fight you see, and you can see that I run out of action a shit ton more than in the second fight. It really can be the difference in success or not if you have the action to keep using abilities, or get that last heal off. I fully believe that rifles are better than carbines. Rifles have a longer range, more min/max damage on the weapon itself, take cover gives 10% rifle damage output on top of the defense, and if you manage your action through different sources of ACR (Action cost reduction), it will have the sustained damage of carbines and spike damage with sniper shot.

I've tried bounty hunting on my own once and I found it so overwhelming trying to follow a text based walkthrough. This video makes it seem so peaceful and relaxing and simple (the steps atleast, combat can be hard XD). Great video!

Nah it’s a mod, master crafted dc-15 becomes the amban rifle that the mandalorian has in the tv show. There are 2 new recent guns though. A pistol and a carbine from empire day. There’s a few other people that make videos like outofthisworldburrito, mobius, maldo, tklotus, etc.

I was thinking of trying out SWG again by hopping on Legends, and I am potentially getting a friend to come and give SWG a chance as well. Is it possible to hunt players with my friend? Is it worthwhile to do it?

Worthwhile for the fun of fighting someone, sure. Money? No. Pretty much every target will be under 100k credits. Just both of you need to learn a lot about being fully geared and playing the profession

Hey V - any advice on catching bounties in space? Tracking someone and they're space grinding but don't come up as an enemy in space.

Can’t hunt in space at all. Just drop that bounty and move onto the next. Same with if they’re in a private structure.

Did you change your suit? You said you never run out of action but you ran out of action in your first fight.

I actually noted why that was in my pinned comment that says "more helpful info below" 😂 I tried out rifle damage powerups instead of rifle ACR and it didn't make much of a difference at all in damage, except I was losing a shit ton more action. So in the second fight I used my normal rifle acr powerups and was just fine with action. Of course I still had enough ACR to use the highest tier abilities the whole time even when I was out for a split second toward the end, if it was getting drained or if I had an action cost increase debuff on me it wouldn't have worked out in doing that.

Do the waypoints not update anymore? Or are my droids bad?

When you radial a seeker droid, identify is a one time waypoint that comes back a little faster. Then for tracking on the seeker droid it takes like 20 seconds longer to come back but gives periodic waypoints like every 30 seconds. Arakyd probe droids are a one time waypoint to tell you which planet they’re on.

Cold, the master crafted DC-15 is the highest min/max damage rifle for BH. (I have the amban sniper rifle mod from the mandalorian TV show on) But really anything can work, they all have their helpful benefits. I don't really pay much attention to elements anymore because anyone could be running full elemental armors in their ent buff, which I do as well. 10k+ elemental armors = 100% resistance to elemental procs.
