Oddly enough I felt the same way and when I blinded them I got the same results that Jason over on Mash and Drum did with B522 actually winning by an extremely narrow margin over C922 (much to both our surprises). I think A is the most classic bourbon profile, B is the sweetest and easiest going, and C is the best quintessential ECBP profile. I’d pick B or C on different nights for different moods.

B was 100% my jam this year. BCA is my preference for this year. B is crushable for a barrel proof and a great one to have on hand to introduce people to a well aged barrel proof bourbon that shock them with oak and ethanol.

Just found and picked up EC BP B522 and A123. Also found Larceny BP C922, but A123 has not hit my area yet.

Your tasting notes pretty much mirrors mine. I like the B best because it doesn't try to smack you upside the head and I liked that profile. C is darned close though to me, happy with it. Batch A is just a little hot to me, not bad at all. In fact, had the A batch for a pour a couple of days ago. Was just in the mood for that little kick. Great video.

Best B batch ever? What about Fred Minnicks whisky of the year ECBP B517? I have one, not opened yet and not sure I ever will. Though what is sad about having one is that it is so rare in East Europe, that I have never tasted any ECBP yet, though Turkeys are available all year long here....

I enjoy the channel, but our pallets differ greatly. ECBP B is the best of the year and Calumet 16 may be bourbon of the year. I still watch, however. Cheers to individuality!!

I really enjoyed A, I haven't seen the C batch yet, and I just opened my B batch yesterday. I liked the flavors on B a lot, but I get a pretty strong musty funk on the finish. I'm not sure if it's just me or my bottle though. Still hoping to be able to get a C922. Thanks for the comparison.

I can't for the life of me understand how anyone would not find C batch far superior to A, and B. To each there own though. That said, i like B better than A.

Didn’t try A this year, but I preferred B over C. Funny thing is that I prefer higher proof pours but something about the B wins it, maybe it’s the balance that you guys mentioned.

I have to ask were y’all not fans of the B520? For me is an all time fav! I really enjoy B522, had some last night in fact but it falls way short of that B520 batch imo. I do agree that all of these this year was a major step up from the 2021 disappointments.
