Talked to that store owner about it. He said he thought that his pricing was reasonable. He probably moves through so much product as a bar+liquor store that he gets crazy deals.

Douglas Laing puts out blends for each region in Scotland called Remarkable Regional Malts. Epicurean is the Lowlands and Rock Oyster is the Islands. Timorous Beastie which has a mouse on the bottle is considered by many to be the best. It's the Highlands blend. All of these are blend malts so there is no grain whisky in them. They're good for the price.

Great video. Cedar Ridge has some good offerings. I got the Barrel Proof for $36 at Binny’s and it is good. I was able to get a Cedar Ridge pick from Bourbon Hunter and it is like its name, a Vanilla Bomb. No mention of Russell’s Reserve 15 sitting on the shelf at a little store like that? 🥃

There is another small store in southern Wisconsin that got 1 bottle and they were selling it for $600. I passed and got it for retail in Illinois. I believe it's still there. That's the thing I don't understand about these small stores, they price these bottles so high and the bottles just sit there. You'd think after a while they might want some cash flow.

@PatrickS0057 100% agree. I'm starting to understand (but not side with) their perspective on it. It's all about maximizing profit from the product because they googled the value. A lot of these stores will haggle with you, which is nice, but it's always going to be just outside of a comfortable pricepoint.

4R Small Batch Select and Single Barrel are everywhere here in Illinois. Just walk into any Binnys.. The ones that are kind of tough to find are the Single Barrel Barrel Strenghts but even then, they are available pretty often.
