Blue Note Toasted French Oak is wonderful! Peerless Double Oak is also a great pour. I find it hysterical that these businesses sell Kentucky bourbon for ridiculous prices-and here in Delaware, it's even cheaper than where it was distilled. Sadly I heard President's Hancock Reserve is underwhelming for the price - I hope you liked it though!

You mentioned searching indiana. I live close to South Bend. There are several local chains. If you go to one searching for a specific product they will check their computer inventory of all their locations. At least one chain has 16 stores. Be advised that anything even semi rare is very expensive here. Any time you find Eagle Rare (which is very seldom) it’s $69-$89. Blantons is usually +/- $120. Anything allocated usually either sells within hours to favorite customers or goes into a lottery I think you showed John J Bowman. If so, I believe it comes out of Virginia

At 6:17 the shelf has four E. H Taylor cylinders! But, no prices are posted. Must be a case where if you have to ask the price, you can NOT afford the product! Churns my emotions, only because I care. At 7:16 is Jam Session, Which a new facet of the bourbon experience that deserves more in depth exploration as to how you can blend bourbon and take it back with you. At about 9:50 I see that I am grateful to be able to consistently find Four Roses Small Batch (750ml) for around $33.00. At 10:06 more Buffalo Trace at $39.99; that is too pricey for me. I have found it online in California for $35 delivered to my door.

Bardstown Bourbon Company does it right. I don't understand distilleries selling pours of their own stuff at twice the price of restaurants...distilleries should always have competitive pricing at the very least. It's counterintuitive to what most of them "preach."
@thebourbonchronicles Жыл бұрын
I think they price them high just so they don’t outcompete their partners, bars and liquor stores that sell their products. Although I’m sure the distillers can give away their samples for free or close to it.
