That Blantons is a Straight from the barrel. I think I might have bought it for the 300.

I would have jumped on those Old Carter bottles, $250 is super cheap compared to online prices. Love those Four Roses bottles. I actually just got a Blanton's Gold and Straight from the Barrel for MSRP $130 and $170.

I heard it’s being sourced from Dickel?
@kane610611 ай бұрын
@@thebourbonchronicles I haven't heard that, but The blue note 17 year was dickel sourced, yet it was amazing and tasted nothing like dickel 😬
@iceman279611 ай бұрын
@@thebourbonchronicles I haven't heard that but I wouldn't doubt it. Old Carter is very rare, to see that many bottles is very unusual. They have how much of each bottle was made right on their website. I'll have to go back and look at the bottles and compare to the website.

250 not bad for Old Carter. I have never seen it below 220 in my area, but we have almost 10% sales tax. If no sales tax there, not bad at all (but even if tax not bad)

For $300? Hmm I’ve tried it before, it’s good but so many barrel proof bourbons are as good or better. 1792 full proof is probably just as good blind. Haha that’s my hot take.

@@thebourbonchronicles Blanton's straight from the barrel is an S-tier drinker imo, but yeah not for $300. Equally offensive, $40 Buffalo Trace?! I think you made great choices, the Russel's and 4 Roses picks were the two most interesting bottles I saw and not totally insane on pricing.

Would have taken the lucky seven. And that heaven hill 20 will be there in fifty years at that price. In Kentucky those prices should not be that high. The state is not regulating these stores enough. Again these over priced secondary markets don’t benefit the distillery.
@thebourbonchronicles11 ай бұрын
Well, he have regulated prices here in Ohio and I don’t bother hunting here. It’s not fun, all allocated stuff is gone immediately. People wait in line as the store opens, store owners hate them and are super rude.
