This is NOT a BG video this is a fan made video. Brantley writes a lot of music, from Jason Aldean to Rock and some rap and R&B. He is also a big supporters of our military, our second amendment rights. I think this was a fan made video in honor of the troops. And you're right this song was about a bar fight. Didn't like the video but love BG! His latest is one y'all should hear, "How to Talk to Girls" a tribute to his wife and daughter. Absolutely beautiful song. Okay, so I might have a lil crush on him😊 The bourbon...Don't hate me. As soon as I saw the bottle I asked myself why y'all had a bottle of urine behind you. (No offense to the person who sent it but I just had a BAD feeling about this one. Thanks for trying it and letting we, the bourbon lovers, know just how foul it is. Reaction to song is what I expected. Nicely done. Bourbon: Prunes dipped in burnt tires 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I do believe that there is a video for this song that is from a concert. That one may help not confuse the song's message.

Your comments reminded of a kid I talked to one day. He had a broken arm, we asked him what happened. He said he was just out of basic training and he thought he was tough. He went to a bar across the street (it was a biker bar with a very bad reputation), he said, I asked for a fight and they broke my arm. We all looked at him like he had left his brains at home, which he had.

I think they showed this imagery to show that the soldiers that came back know how to fight outside so when they came back and the regular civilians wanted to fight,....

So true about the level of violence. Don't start something when you don't know how the other person intends to finish it. I have a guy friend who years ago, got a part time job working as a bouncer at a bar on the weekends. We told him it could be a dangerous gig but he was sure he could handle it. About two months in, he told us one night, the smallest guy in the place was drunk and like a fool, started a fight with a guy who was three times his size. So, he and the other bouncer got them apart and my friend had a hold on the smaller guy who managed to twist around and bite my friend on the arm. It was a nasty bite. He had to go to the ER. He needed a few stitches. He had to be tested for six months to make certain he hadn't contracted anything from the bite. Needless to say, he quit the job. He said if crazy people want to get drunk and beat each other up, he didn't give a damn. He was staying far away from the fools. This song is okay. Not really country. There is a lot of the newer country I like and a lot of newer singers that are amazing and I truly enjoy, but I've never managed to connect to anything by Brantley Gilbert.

Great reaction, I like new country... sometimes and BG is a great writer. Most of the time I try to watch the official videos, fan made ones dont always match the singers meanings exactly. With the exceptions of some of the gaming videos, which you know are fan made.

I don't know why this happens to me a lot, but it just happened again with this video! Sometimes when I click to watch one of your videos, it's already at the end where y'all have already watched the video & are reacting to the bourbon bribe & I missed the most of it & I don't know how to start it over! Damn it! Yes, I'm old as hell & terrible at computer stuff! Lol! I know y'all will laugh about this! Lol! No, I'm not drunk! I am diabetic & can't even have a drink! Lol! I'm laughing, but frustrated at my lack of computer skills! Where are my grown sons when I need them to show me??? Lol!

I think you gentlemen are hilarious, I have friends that remind me of you both. Loved the video. I dont know why the song popped in my head this morning, it isnt similar to this and wasn't even one of my favorites when I saw it years ago, but "Lightning does the work" by Chad Brock ran thru my head this morning. I doubt you will ever get the votes for it to get played so I'll take a look for an american whiskey soon as I'm off the boat I'm piloting to bribe you for it. Keep making vids and keep trying to learn to play guitar Keith.

I'm not a fan of new country. I like BG because he's from Georgia. That's all that makes him country to me. But most people in Georgia make fun of him as far as country music goes. He makes some funny reels. 😁

Brantley Gilbert, in my opinion, just like Florida Georgia Line (Their guitarist used to play death metal) got into country because they couldn’t make it in Rock. I feel bad for whoever bribed this. They went 0-for-2.

BG wrote Dirt Road Anthem and countless others. Does anyone ever ask if he got tired of writing songs for other people when he had the voice to sing them himself? He has a song called "More than Miles" it talks about him going to Nashville to chase his own dream but unable to leave the woman he loves behind..."Cause I'm on my way to Tennessee singin' Georgia on my mind chasin' what they say's a dream thinkin' maybe it ain't mine"
@jwmson77912 жыл бұрын
Sadly mistaken sir. You should preface such comments with ‘IMO’ ‘cause that’s all it is, your opinion. This is not one of my favorites but BG is a great songwriter and has some amazing material. This definitely has a heavy rock influence and isn’t one that I would have requested but it’s not my bribe. And like Brantley says near the end of The Ones That Like Me “if you don’t like me, then there’s probably a good chance I don’t like you neither.”

I didn't think that you guys would like BG. He is more southern rock gone pop than country and his songs appeal to the Billy Bad Ass types of drunken knucklehead scrappers with a chip on their shoulder. His music is definitely not for the been there, done that, wise old bird. A great song to react to is 'You Can Have The Crown' by Sturgil Simpson.
@CLynns2 жыл бұрын
I love his music and I'm anything but a Billy badass, drunkin' knucklehead scrapper with a chip on her shoulder.
@WaymoresBlues2 жыл бұрын
@@CLynns I didn't say that all of his music is exclusive to that type of drunken bro. You may recall that I did mention his style of 'gone pop' which is exactly the kind of "country" music that appeals almost exclusively to the ladies(and perhaps maybe some log cabin Republicans). But the sad fact is it is the ladies, by which I mean mostly 30 something suburban white women, that make up the marketing base and targeted demographic for modern country radio. And it is that over indulgence of pop country on the airwaves which makes most of what we hear today on contemporary country radio stations in general suck royal ass. Personally, I'd take an, albeit politically retarded, yet traditional sounding country artist, like say Sturgil Simpson or Tyler Childers, over some flag waving overly ink stained gym rat wearing hoop ear rings and a baseball cap while singing mostly pop songs with a twang and a drum machine to impress the estrogen set, any day of the week. No doubt his 'I'm a Bulletproof Billy Dumb Ass' songs are his attempt at not having his music being completely dismissed by most men when they hear their women singing along to his other non 'bro' songs. Some of us men still remember who it was that first fouled up our radios with that pop country garbage when they alone made that douche bag Billy Ray Cyrus famous for being pretty. It sure the L wasn't us.
