@@arickbakken Bonus knowledge: have you heard "once in a blue moon". A blue moon is the second full moon of a calendar month. Originally it was the third full moon of a season with four full moons. Some years have 13 full moons instead of 12. This happens ever 2-3 years or 7 out of 19 years. It is used to say something rarely happens.

Great video. I became a fan of Blanton's after doing blind with and Elmer back in 2014. I have tried Hancock since, and was not impressed. Wish I could do one with all three. Keep up the good work guys!

Freaking awesome review. I’ve only had Elmer and Rock Hill at restaurant/ bars, but I have a bottle of both Blanton’s 2017 and Hancock’s 2019. I would put Hancocks at the top by a narrow margin, but all of my friends drool over the Blanton’s.

Love the blind tastings and editing sound/vid bits! One caveat to blind tastings is the story of the Pepsi challenge- where in the challenge people "preferred" Pepsi because in the "moment" the human pallet tends to favor sweet. But post challenge, majority of people tend to actually prefer coke because of its balance and nuanced cola flavors comparatively. So don't give up on your Elmer T!

This video makes my day. I’ve only tried Elmer once and it was a half pour in KY at a bar. I was grossly underwhelmed (but I’d love to try it again, full pour and really put notes down). Either way...I know it can’t be worth much more than the $40 retail. I’d pay no more than $60 just to have a bottle, but would prefer $50

Hancocks Reserve is $175. I'm still gonna pucker for that too. Found a bttle of BLANTONS for that price, 02/21. Used to spend that on weed every 10 days. Grow my own now. Whiskey collection is growing. Bourbon, Scotch, Irish, Japanese, Canadian, Mexican(yeah, that's a thing), "they're all real good friends o' mine!".

Love this video. It proves the hate for they hype of Blanton’s is real. I have hundreds of bottles of bourbon, and on the right day, Blanton’s is a pleasant pour. Some times it’s a little thin.. sometimes a little proofy at the front of the palate. But when the stars align, it’s a unique dessert.

I like blantons. I am not one to knock it all day for advertising. But, also not my favorite as I typically go towards proof. Watching this I thought: A) the elmer has a lot of air in it ( blantons did as well so that theory is gone; I don't LOVE elmer but I typically think what your first reaction was: very hot/spicy with less flavor for 90 proof) B) Rock Hill Farms is awesome! But opposite of the elmer because it is so suttle but has typical BT flavors and is 100 proof. Hard to blind this line up. Enjoyed watching though !!

I believe these bottles are single barrels, so that can change which ones are good depending on what barrel you get. That's the risk you take if you try to hunt these and attempt to overpay.
