2023 and I'm still still loving this performance. The pianist, absolutely AMAZING as well.

@Cold German Beer Curious. Your thoughts on what you found lacking in this performance?
@rudolphmcneill33335 жыл бұрын
@Cold German Beer So I definitely get the impression that you do not agree that he is one of best of his generation. Oh well. To each their own. Also, I'm advanced.

@Cold German Beer I am as well, and have had the honor of seeing and meeting most of my old school favorites. Such as Rampal, Baker, Galway... they are definitely the reasons I began studying the flute. By the way, I'd hardly call Denis a no-name. He's probably one of the biggest names out there at the moment. So I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Your opinions are just that, opinions. Doesn't make them facts. Take care.

@Cold German Beer ok. EXCELLENT. So where can I find your recordings? I'm being serious.

@Cold German Beer Clearly you've lost track of the root of music-making--the truest expression of the self--not "playing for or with" anyone. Denis Bouriakov is one of the most technically sound flutists out there today. He may not be on par with Galway--or, as you say, Mr. Hutchins or Mr. Dufour--but he is still an artist capable of expression. You may think you're the authority on all things flute-related, but that doesn't give you the right to piss all over someone else's art or someone else's opinion (who, by the way, has been completely respectful of you in a way that I admire). I'm glad someone who couldn't find the joy in music has given up their position in "major concert halls" for those who still delight in it. I hope you enjoy blustering about the corners of the internet. "Even if you have to kill a man, it costs you nothing to be polite."

This is a marvellous piece, so French so mysterious... and very well realised. And I'd love to know what flute is Mr Bouriakov playing?

Amazing amazing job! It’s just the Animé part is too fast and so is the cadenza. Amazing interpretation just not my favorite

The anime is dead on the tempo marked in the piece by dutilleux so

Bouriakov Is certainly one the best in the world, but here, the tempo is too fast. No need for such a tempo because the sonate Lost his spirit.

It's exactly the tempo marking written by dutilleux
