Bournemouth town took its name from the bourne stream that runs through the gardens.

Ah nice! It's kind of a running theme, naming towns after rivers and waterways, it seems.

I lived in Bournemouth for a couple of years in the early two thousands when the hot air Balloon was the Bournemouth eye. It was the best place. You could pick mussels from under the peir and dig up huge cockles on the beach. There were food runs and homeless shelters the Big Issue and a wetland natural reserve second to none. Its such a shame to see such a vibrant community reduced to such a state of poverty and decay. Except for the politicians play ground- the BIC center of course. That'll be as big and lavish as its always been probably.

I'm glad that the beach is dead , seeing as you are supposed to be in lockdown . I used to go to Bournemouth with my family for holidays . Bournemouth should be able to come back to life when pandemic is over . I hope people support it as a holiday town this Summer .
