Dave - Great series. Do the wood laminations need to have grain oriented correctly (straight) like in wood non-lamintated bow? or does that laminations with the fiberglass take care of that were grain does not matter as much?

Did you mean the Purple heart was cut to 50 mil long ? The piece looked about a foot & 1/2 or 18" (inches long), maybe a bit more, but I thought 50 mil was short for 50 millimeters which I also thought was about 2" (inches) ? Re : (mark 14:45 minutes)

Looks very Thunderbolt / BowTec(ish). Very good, try some bamboo though, makes all the difference.

i have fiberglassed a bow with 2 part apoxy and it just didnt seem right and after drying i left the bowq for about a week and i noticed the fiberglass was bubbling and with further examination i discovered that the apoxy resin was damp and tacky under neath the fiberglass any advice you can give would be greatfuly appreciated i am new to the fiberglass system i dont know if it is the fiberglass at issue or the apoxy the bow works but i does need a little reenforceing we do not seem to get the same quality of fiberglass i can only get the matting and not the thicker fiber yours truly jack boyd

hi Id like to adapt you idea, though I am not in europe anymore. immigrated to brazil so have no knowledge about local trees I can use to make a bow like this, would you have any idea about what I could use here to make somethin thats draws be it around 50 pounds or so?

what's the difference in your Pilgrim and Regent other than type of wood used and do you make anything at 55# @ 28"?

+WV591 The only difference is the wood. I have made that type of bow up to 55lb and I am also working on sone 62inch bows that are up to 60lb
