Recently viewed a video that reminded me a little of Bow. Chimp mothers with newborns would cover their infants mouth/nostrils and siphon it before feeding time so the infants could both breathe and feed. Maybe with Bow more instinct than idiosyncrasy.

When Bow was little, he used to catch a cold every time one was going around in our family. In fact, in the video called "Baby Chimp Bow's First Christmas" you can see in the opening scene that he has a bit of a runny nose. Bow is like me. Love to groom! When my son was going thru puberty and had blackheads he knew what it meant when I came in his room with the 91% alcohol, needle, tweezers &washcloth. If he wouldn't cooperate I would sit on his chest & insist on getting them! Lol.... the only difference is that instead of sympathetic movements I had to get an extra washcloth for myself because I had a habit of drooling ..... lol
