Kelli I'm writing to thank you, so much, I've been watching you for just a few months now and NEVER used to paint my nails, I thought it was a hopeless activity because mine would chip so fast. But your 101 classes convinced me to try again with GREAT results. A month into painting my nails and finding my creativity again (truly!) I've gone from owning 2 polishes, to 45! I just ordered a few Maniology sets and other stamping plates from Amazon, a brush set, stamping tools, striping tape, lol everything! My nails don't chip within two days anymore and I've FINALLY learned how to paint my nails quickly and not have them gloopy and wet for hours on end. I'm 39 years old and you are the big sister of nail care that I never had, I truly wish you the very best on your channel and am continually befuddled as to why you don't have so many more subscribers, you are AWESOME.

I love this comment so much. Kelli was one of the reasons I decided to try painting my nails as well. That was about a year ago, I have nearly 200 bottles polish now, and my collection doesn't seem like it's going to stop growing anytime soon 😬 But she really is such an inspiration and source of joy and positive energy for me, and I'm sure man others.

But WHAT is the secret to keep it from chipping in 2 days? I’ve been watching the videos and using the recommended base and top coats and polished, wearing dish gloves for any cleaning, watching how I use my nails throughout the day. Still chip.

@@hannahbrady3109 Aw shoot I'm sorry ♥ For me it's been wrapping the tip, the top coat, and stopping using my nails as tools, which is really hard, but I open things like pop tops with a butter knife, or remove food container films/covers with knives as well, but even so far as not clawing onto wet laundry in the washing machine and yanking out in a hurry but instead gently using my finger pads. I've become super vigilant about using my nails now that I can paint them pretty. I still only make it like 5 days, but by then I'm usually excited to paint them something new. M - F for the workweek, clean them off on Saturday, paint again on Sunday night and good to go for work.

@@hannahbrady3109 along with above, I find that making sure to let every coat dry and allowing the full manicure to fully dry. Once you think it's dry, let it dry more to be safe lol

Most thermal polishes only keep their thermal effect for 1 up to 2 years. However, I bought the polish "Wind of Change" in 2016 and it is still performing amazing! The quality of Bow Polish is just💯

Oh that's really good to know because I just bought some for my Mum so it being quite long lasting makes it feel like an even better gift (though its pretty in all 3 colours so even if it did stick in one due to the chemical reaction stopping it wouldn't be the end of the world). Did you store it in any particular way in hopes of extending its life or anything like that?

I love Bow Polish, I think Dance Legend is a very creative brand and Bow is my favorite of their sub-brands (I don't know if this is the correct term, English isn't my first language 😅). Anyway, I own a dozen of them an I love each and every one of them! My favorite from this collection is that first gray holo. Amazing video ❤️❤️❤️❤️

They all look so pretty! It’s important for newbies to know thermals have a shelf life of 6-12 months. The color they die/stop transitioning in may vary. I only buy them if I love all the colors they transition to. Some brands may last a few years but is rare in my experience. Storing them in a cool and dark space helps them last longer. Tyfs❤️

Kelli, I absolutely LOVE thermals! The only sad thing is I have a certain health condition that makes me burning hot to the touch, and have constant fevers. I am now swatching for some awesome indie brands, and 9 out of 10 of them are thermals, so I DO know how hard it is to capture that perfect transitional shot!🤪😤 I keep trying regardless! Bow, dance legend, and Masura have always been my favorite brands, so glad to hear that they are now available in the US. Bow and Masura make the most stunning magnetic polishes, and dance legend makes so many great sheer polishes. I have the black to clear thermo top coat (had it for 3-4 years now and it still works) and I stamp with black on top...really cool cuz when its clear you see the design but when its black the design disappears.

So, they are beautiful, but from the last video I asked you about the gel polishes and I got my kits a few days ago, and OMG! I love the Gels, I didn't think I would but it took me less than 5 minutes to do my nails on one hand. I don't think I want to buy any other polish because I have a hard time sitting still long enough for my other polishes to dry and I smudge and gouge places in the nail polish because it takes so long to dry. I found them on What up nails and they have interesting colors for magnetic polishes also they have a clear top coat that changes the color to a total different one is pretty cool. Let me tell you before you in my life I bought nail polishes for 3 or 4 dollars now is Starrily Enchanted Polish F U N lacquer and I am loving it ha ha
