3 newly promoted teams in EPL this year are very awful..I don't understand why they actually promoted..poor attack, poor defense, poor play, poor everything...Are other teams in championship much worse than these teams? I guess those 3 are easily the obvious candidates for an immediate relegation, maybe with a competition with Everton..

United were severely understrength for the 1st 3 matches, playing almost a reserve side. Then several new players were brought in on the last day of the transfer window, obviously we're now better but still look disjointed as though we're still in pre-season with the players trying to learn their roles.

we didn't play really well at all, we just weren't rubbish like in the last match. However think much of the reason for our 2nd half improvement is West Ham took their foot off the gas 2nd and settled for the 2-0, which means 2nd half was a closer, more even contest.

@dh4130of course a manager makes a difference to tactics, style of play and effort. Might not make much different to results but the performances will be much improved and for me as long as they're giving 100% and we're set up to try and win, then Im happy.

@dh4130 Do you remember the days of Slav being the Blades manager. Slav was sacked and in came Hecky as the new manager, Hecky made a huge difference, unfortunately we ( United ) are now playing in a way that is somewhat reminiscent of the Slav days with heads sinking and not being able to play in way that will get results. Appointing new managers does make a difference with the exception of the club that play in Blue & White at the other end of the City. ⚔️

@dh4130 Depends on what you class as success. I understand what you say about Championship players in the Premier League, but the Premier is split into Two if not Three different leagues IMO. We have just 1 point in midd October with an embarrassing 0-8 thrashing at the lane to our name, it's simply not good enough ! The managers job at any club is dependent on results and United obviously are not getting results and it's very hard to see any results coming our way based on our performances. It's time for change !!

@dh4130 I respect your comments and opinions but I would still be in favour of appointing a new manager with the way the team are performing this season, and that's not insulting Hecky at all, he has done a brilliant job in past seasons but its the here and now that counts and so far having just One point moving towards November isn't going to move us away from the relegation zone. Man Utd at home in the next fixture and I just hope we can somehow get 3 points because we have nothing to come at Arsenal and I'm dreading another embarrassing thrashing.

McBurnie's the only player that's played well for us this season

Agree McBurnie is limited ability wise, however ironically he's been the most effective player this season. Hasn't played that much due to injury but his presence and aggression seems to affect opposition defenders. McBurnie is also good at defensive headers, when defending corners and always seems to give 100% no matter the scoreline.

@@sammybeck4855 are you in epl to play well or to stay up?....i am not even a sheffield fan...but i have watched them right from last time they came up...after a few games..i said to myself...how could and epl club be using this person as a striker..never looks like he would score at anytime...he was paire with one other guy..dark with beard too...i kept laughing watching both of them...i didnt watch championship games...to my greatest suprise..i saw mcburnie again leading the lines this season again....i picked interest..wanted to know if he has become something like torres or so..he is still the same...i wont ever feel sorry for sheffield if they go down...infact..i want them to go down for it...because they habe prooven to me they are not interested in staying up

Defence is a mess with no leadership to top it off from the hapless Egan who's not captain material. Midfield don't do anywhere near enough and everyone up front apart from McBurnie are lightweight. It's worrying how poor so many of our players first touches are. It's Sunday league quality at best and this was an issue last season too. We're getting out jumped in the air every single time and it's pathetic.
