exactly. Fran Lebowitz is a crusty old %$^&. I really don't see why everyone is so deferential to her. She wrote a few humorous essay for Mademoiselle but her claim to fame seems to be just that she personifies the stereotypical upper east side jewish white lady who doesn't like anything or anyone. If anyone is ripe for being a target of satire it would be her, except for the fact that she is her own caricature.
