Wishful thinking for B&W to ring back the DM 602 S2 styled 7" kevlar woofer and similar cabinet dimensions; these speakers offered so much performance / musicality for the money that B&W had to scale them down so they wouldn't continue cutting into the sales of their other higher end / higher priced models.

These B&W sounds good to me.I do listen most electronic music.Richie Hawtin etc.But,how to say ,really good sound starts,when volume breach 30% of power .And afterwords, sound is clear,comming up bass.yes,just because I love to listen music on low volume,Sub is needed.....For that money, best choice ...

Sinophobia. What a positive thing. That's going to do us all a lot of good. Seen the Lenovo? Who owns Motorola. So tiresome all this China bashing when people in Detroit have no water and we have our own problems. China buys more GM cars than the US does, far more. They buy from us, although GM cars do not have a great record in either quality or safety. Japan buys almost no GM cars. Would that we could be as magnanimous.

I got the Bowers and Wilkins 685 S2 686 the center and sub, I own a Bose lifestyles system. My Bose just got replaced, The sound and build quality of the Bowers and Wilkins are light years ahead of Bose tech.

You lot at C|NET need to get with it! These are MONITOR SPEAKERS, NOT LISTENING SPEAKERS! By this I mean: - Any Monitor speakers have high fidelity audio - They are not meant for home cinema uses, e.g. for TV, Radio ETC... This is because doing this can cause damage to these types of speakers because they are not built for TV Listening or Radio Listening, they are built for mainly DJing, and Producing/Mastering. - This video is 100% wrong, and DON'T BUY THESE FOR A TV/GAMING SETUP!!!!!! - These speakers are probably active, so they have a built in soundcard, therefore, it would require phono cables, basically, again, incompatiable with normal TV's/Radio's etc... - Just stick with speakers meant for your tasks, e.g. if you want a home cinema setup, go for BOSE, they make speakers mainly for home cinemas. Peter C I meant BOSE for an example, Monitors are not for listening to audio as they are not pre-eqed, meaning that some monitors are ok, only if you can EQ them, otherwise they will make your content sound poor.

Zaviex No, you have very little experience in sound engineering, I have 4 years of experience and trust me, if you want a speaker for producing/djing/mastering, get monitors, if you want it for an event, get a PA system, if you want it for your PC, get PC speakers, you got to get the speaker that does what you want to do, if you don't know much about speakers like you, then you might waste a load of money because the speakers would break because you didn't buy the right ones, and I know in human nature that your response is to argue with my statement, so I am going to ignore you because you don't seem to be of high inteligence in sound engineering.
