My friend once said "David Bowie always chooses the best and most talented bands to sing with. Any band he sings with are super awesome!" He was right- NIN, Blur, Arcade Fire, Placebo etc etc have all been joined on stage by Bowie, and all are awesome.

Bonjour...

I just have to write it. Bowie always knew who to 'visit' at a concert... Every time I see this, I look at Bowie's face when it comes at "I take the plan and spin it sideways...". HE'S LOVING IT. THEY BOTH DO! IT'S A TREAT... THANX.

Bowie is singing this with such a feeling and passion. I adore this performance and adore how Bowie's voice is heard from the underneath with very distinct vibrations like a voice you would recognize in million voices. This song resonates with his persona so well, it creates a very Bowie-like atmosphere while staying true to Placebo's style and identity. I adore both Molko and Bowie and consider myself lucky enough to be living when I can enjoy this. Absolutely magnificent, gives me goosebumps every time.

Lyrics… Strange infatuation seems to grace the evening tide I'll take it by your side Such imagination seems to help the feeling slide I'll take it by your side Instant correlation sucks and breeds a pack of lies I'll take it by your side Oversaturation curls the skin and tans the hide I'll take it by your side Tick - tock Tick - tock Tick - tock Tick - tick Tick - tick Tick Tick - tock Tick I'm unclean, a libertine And every time you vent your spleen I seem to lose the power of speech You're slipping slowly from my reach You grow me like an evergreen You've never seen the lonely me at all I Take the plan, spin it sideways I Fall Without you, I'm nothing Without you, I'm nothing Without you, I'm nothing Take the plan, spin it sideways Without you, I'm nothing at all

This ranks up there with Bowie's greatest on stage cameos , the others being Hurt with Nine Inch Nails and Comfortably Numb with Pink Floyd .... he really makes those songs his own but with great respect admiration and deference to the original artists !
