Kind of redundant, I slide but due to a bad hip I cant bend my knee and get low anymore. It does not mater if you slide or plant. I see people making comments saying learn proper technique first. But the only real thing to learn first is called consistency. What ever comes the easiest for you will work great as long as you can practice and do it again and again the same way. That is the entire key to bowling is consistency, to have the same approach the same release and hit the same mark at the same speed every ball every time. After you can do that repeatedly then you can learn to read the lanes and adjust you feet and ball placement, It is worth trying a few different methods because some are proven to be more effective than others. But it really comes down to how roll the ball, to know what is right,

Really nice clip!, I think that the original video with Petraglia is a bowling "classic", I use to have it in "beta" cassette, wondering if there is a DVD version, anyway I think it is a great learning tool. Thanks!

what's the point? Man if you want to learn the proper technique you have to look at the ones with perfect form, and Marshal Hollman is one of them. I think this one is a must have for any bowler. Looking at this video over and over you can focus in many aspects, eg. Look how he's still sliding after he's released the ball.

Hm.. What's the point of this video? ;] It's just the same 4 clips over and over again. :)
