I wish you could have slowed down your explanations by showing examples of various drillings and went far farther in explaining how various drillings will effect a shot. This is an informative video but it could have been much better if it were longer.

It was designed to not go into extreme detail. Aiming for a basic understanding of the layouts. In the future I plan on a more in depth video. Thanks for watching.

That would be a different style to layout a bowling ball it is called the Dual Angle Layout Technique

Dual angle layouts. Draw a line through the Cg and Pin on a symmetrical ball or through the mass bias on an Asymmetrical. Measure an angle you want off the pin and that line and make a mark. Draw a line this is your fist number or angle. Mark a distance on that new line from the middle of the pin and mark it. This is your Pin to PAP distance. Make another mark for an angle from your PAP marker on the north side of that line. This is your VAL angle. You then reverse your PAP from that mark to find center of grip. If you go up or down for your PAP you follow the VAL angle line to go up or down. First angle is essentially the PSA to PAP line. Only really matters on Symmetrical balls, smaller angles make ball stand up earlier higher angles makes it push down lane a little more at least that’s what I remember them meaning in lamest terms. Second number is the pin to PAP which is exactly the same thing he explained in this video. Third number is the VAL angle which determines the same thing as the the buffer line. Lower VAL results in higher pin layouts, higher VAL angle results in lower pin layouts. Most of this should be right but there might be a few things I’m missing on. But this should hopefully make those numbers make sense for you

What ball reaction result for balls where the pin is down by the thumb hole
