Bowling Green is HOME! Lived here until the end of high school. Currently Active Duty Army and I appreciate this video so much! Growing up in a small town and then being stationed so far from home, I loved seeing the streets and everything here. You missed my home by a tad lol but that's alright, hoping to make it home for the holidays this year. Although it's a town with a high poverty rate, the best people live here. So sweet, caring, and giving. Wasn't much of the materialistic person then and proud to say not even close now. Stationed near D.C., but home is where the heart is

I like small towns,it seems the older you get I'm in my 60s,the more you appreciate the peace and serenity of a small town,they have their problems and crazies like anywhere else,but if you're not looking for trouble,keep a low profile,it's really nice.

Bowling Green is my HOME. I was born and raised in Hardee. 44 years ago. I have raised 3 sons and have majority of my family still here. My Wella is the one who moved my mom here back in the 50's. I love my hometown and wouldnt trade it for any place else. I still reside in Bowling Green just around the corner from my mom and I work in Wauchula.

I used to visit some acquaintances who lived in Bowling Green in the 1980s. We had to go to Wauchula to go out to eat because there wasn't anything in Bowling Green. Looks like the situation hasn't changed much. Polk and Hardee Counties are agriculture-based, so not much to do.
