This happens to everyone. My Dad was born in 1933 and his music was the big bands and swing of the 40s and 50s. He passed away in 2020 and that was still “his music.” Of course he listened to music of later eras, but everyone is always nostalgic and has a preference for the music of their youth, when life was still carefree.

Even I find it hard to listen to 90s, 2000s commercial grunge blemish over the music scene and that rap pop boy bands coming out of the demand of radio business. Debby’s house was a good friend of mine’s growing up. We got to watch them film the music video. Those toys on the lawn are my friend’s actual toys in the garage they used, I used to play with those 😂 and the flowers on the house and the trees are fake, they’re props they stuck up there. My mom had a conversation with Debby’s actor. I got their autographs. The band was high as a kite when I met them lol I sat on the right side of the stage during the last garage scene they filmed, I was just out of camera shot with my friends.

As someone born in 1996, I spent the first ten years of my life listening to what my parents did between the early ‘70s and ‘80s. I first heard this song when it was released, once what was then contemporary music made its way into my life.
