This happens to everyone. My Dad was born in 1933 and his music was the big bands and swing of the 40s and 50s. He passed away in 2020 and that was still “his music.” Of course he listened to music of later eras, but everyone is always nostalgic and has a preference for the music of their youth, when life was still carefree.

Your comment sir wouldn't taint me. I was born in 90s and reminisce much of the music from 50s and 60s (from Holly to Beatles and Everyone that came in between). Even I find it hard to listen to 90s, 2000s commercial grunge blemish over the music scene and that rap pop boy bands coming out of the demand of radio business. So in all no, I would prefer Dylan, Gutherie, seeger, Hopkins, Dominos over any commercial 2000s artist ever.

She was gonna be an actress, she was gonna be a star She was gonna shake her ass, Way sexier than these damn twerkers are, VHS and CDs; are now just memories, Looks at her average life, and nothin' has been alright since... Rammstein, Nirvana, Way before Lady Gaga, Before KZbin, react comedy, Was Beavis and Butthead watching MTV, She looks back, on high school, And wishes she could go back to, The days when she felt alive, in 19-19-1995.
