Here it is, the 37th anniversary of this very telecast. Not only am I enjoying watching both of these bowlers, as I grew up with watching Dick Ritger and George Pappas. Since it is Throwback Thursday, and I'm getting ready to go practice bowling, I even have the exact same clothes on with a bright yellow polyester golf shirt, and dark brown polyester pants.

George Pappas puts a tremendous amount of roll on the ball.

Actor Tim Matheson @ 7:33 seated to Dick Weber's left. Didn't Matheson appear in a bowling film at about this time?

When bowling was awesome to watch. Not like today

I AGREE with you 1,000% because this was when bowling was bowling. The bowling has been CRAP since 2002 & isn't worth watching anymore. LOVE YOUR COMMENT.

@@kevinjohnson4599 I remember watching the PBA Tour in 78 and 79. I was a sophomore in High School. Growing up as a kid my goal was 1 thing. " To Bowl a Perfect Game " ..I got them both in 1999. These Bowlers back in that era exemplified the game. Chris and Bo worked so well togather.. I nolonger bowl but watching these videos brings back fond memories!
