Another great vid, Andy, Tracey & Billy. Smashing short walk and love those settlements. We were lucky to have a full temperature inversion at the top of Catstycam yesterday - a belter. Atb Brian and Jill 😊

Thanks for sharing the walk with us Andy. I love that area around Ennerdale water, so many good trails and views to be had there. Your commentary and camera work, with a relaxed and laid-back style makes these videos very enjoyable, ATB Roo.

Thanks Roo very much you've picked up on everything I try to achieve in a video... lol I like to keep things simple and do my best to let the camera do the work with the POV filming and not to much camera in the face talking.... a big chunk of drone stuff with a bit of dramatic music to go with it ....confidance comes from brilliant feel good comments like this Roo so I can't thank you enough 🙏🏻 Have a fantastic weekend mate ATVB Andy and The ROCK STAR ⭐ 🐶

I did this walk a while ago after Tracey did it on her own. I got caught out by all the forestry work on the way down but managed to get through after asking the workmen for an alternative route. Still great walk with fantastic views.

Nice and quiet Ian often a bit noisy midweek if works going on in the forest...they never work weekends so one of the few places I prefer at the weekend...shame also about the new parking charge at Bowness Knott carpark £8.50 for the day 🫨 we go a lot so got a year ticket a good saving two cars for £25. 1st January 2024 & what a great valley to begin the channel at Ennerdale ❤😊 This is a remote a place you can probably get in the lakes away from the usual tourist hotspots.! Long may it stay that way too Andy!! Another example of how ya don't have to walk rhe big guns to get a great view😊😊 Tracey showed us all how to navigate a swollen beck with aplomb 😂 must have been some storm to bring them trees to the ground 😮😮 great walk wuth you, Tracey & of course KZbin legend now The Rockstar 🐶🐕❤

Really enjoyed this one. You captured a nice mix of habitats, quiet paths, views and history. To me walking is as much about the history (both natural and human) history as it about the landscape and views. And Happy New Year to you both, and Billy of course!

Thanks Andy, I think you've got the balance just right. The drone footage is superb and I also like the balance of practical too, with you going through the route as you go. I know there's the file to download as well but it helps to 'see' the route as well. Even if it's a familiar route, I've found myself going, oh that tree's down now or I remember that bit being covered in trees or that's a new path from when I was there last. I often sit with the map open as I watch the videos... nerd that I am! Look forward to the next one!@@RockStar67

Great walk pleased you mentioned the mighty Herdus because not many people talk about it...a nice hike up it is too. Been local and not been on Bowness Knot am blown away by your video...new subscriber loving the content.

Thanks Ally the high Fells are where your most likely to find me but the forest is also lovely especially if we can't get up high Ennerdale is a beautiful valley for a few years now they've been cutting the fur and spruce trees and re-planting native trees...ill never see it but one day the whole valley will be full of mature Birch Beech and Oak. Hi Andy, Tracey and Billy. What an interesting and lovely walk through the forest and added interest in the settlements. I always wondered if many people walked through the forest at Ennerdale. The paths looked pretty decent so I guess they do but easy to go wrong I imagine. We didnt get up to Skiddaw last week because of the strong winds and clag but instead did one of your routes on here Andy. Down the valley and up Burnt Horse Ridge to Lonscale Fell. Brilliant route we had a great day. We did the steep climb up to Graystone too that was a killer but the views were amazing. Im looking forward to another year of seeing all your adventures.
