just bought an alter saturday and so glad you posted this. thank you for that....side bar idk why but it really bothers me how much you keep having to twist the peep...Lol. its driving me nutz. ...i will say just by watching i think the alter delivers a much more butter draw cycle after watching the amplify draw.

Love the videos! I know it maybe logistically more difficult, but I think comparing some of the nicer budget bows to some used flagship bows from 5 or so years ago could be very helpful for people.

Been shooting this bow for 2 year. I shoot at 50 ibs because I prefer an easy pull back and it’s 2/2 on kills. Both pass throughs a doe that went 50 yards and a 10pt that went 30. I shoot victory tkos with it and they are a perfect pairing. Neither deer reacted to the shot it’s quite, quick and effective

I agree with your assessment of the Amplify. When I first got back into archery I shot this bow and the Elite Basin. After 5 shots of the Amplify I didn’t like the feel, draw cycle etc. The Basin hands down to me was way better so I went with the Basin.

Amplify was my first bow, bought about 2.5 years ago. I just upgraded to an Elite Omnia. The Amplify was a fantastic starter bow and I’ll be holding onto it for a backup!

Why did you upgrade so soon? I bought a diamond infinite bow last December but I don’t plan on upgrading that soon

These VS videos are awesome. I'd like to see some of the different model bear bows face off. Legit Whitetail legend Legend xr Adapt Alaska I don't have a bow yet, but I've been looking at a few of these bear bows to maybe start out with. This is my favorite archery channel. Keep the content coming. 👍

So when i started out last year i was doing a bunch of research and needed a 31.5" DL. I ended up with the Alter bcus it was complete and the amplify only went to 30".. All i needed was a few arrows. It taught me a lot but unfortunately when my technique improved i noticed a slight increase in my draw length and my bow is maxed the hell out already. I will say, its been a good bow to learn on, but ive been shooting nicer bows at pro shops whenever i find a lefty in-store. Im between a BT SS34 and hoyt highline in my budget range, but im finding better prices on the SS34 so its looking like a winner. Or i wait til the RX7 ultra is affordable enough for me.

I think the Amplify is a great secondhand market bow tor first time bow buyers and younger people. I've seen them around $350-400 with a sight and rest. For that price I think it is a no brainer to get one over a lower end bow at that price.

I agree u can find some very lightly used budget bows resold for great prices

Thank you for being being willing to say, "they need to give us more than this", because in my opinion, you are right. If you take away everything, then, it no longer meets your price tag....I'm not cheap, lol..but come on...

I wish you reviewers would shoot with broadheads for a true test. As for the sound shoot at a block target. Other than that I think you do a great job reviewing these.

Been watching a couple of your reviews Brandon, agree on the price but seems to me this bows accuracy is better than most no? Most of the shots seem dead center

I agree I shit well from the jump, I think instability showed itself as I got farther out, and I want to reiterate that when I shoot it’s for vitals so if u watch a review and im what looks a little low I’m punching that heart, also Im tryin to split hairs making a separation from bow to bow

I do like the video, but it seems more like a review of the Amplify instead of a versus video since you said it has some different parts and will behave differently

Will you do a high country? My dad used to shoot indoor and 3d with one back in the late 90s early 2000s.

I’m gonna finish the review but I got a question.. for someone wanting to buy their first bow in 10+ years. Would you recommend getting something like the TideWe for the price, or wait and get something like the Adapt by Bear or something else in that price range? This bow seems a little pricey considering the other ones you’ve reviewed.. thanks for the content as always 👌🏼🔥

@iclumzyy1708 the 2024 Bear Alaskan is totally resigned and for a Budget bow Bear really raised the bar.

G'day mate, I've been watching your reviews (new subscriber) for the last 5 weeks or so. I'm new to archery and have pretty much worn out Google looking at bow reviews for my price point. Still a bit hesitant to drop some coin on a bow that i've not fired. Where I live the nearest bow shop is 5 hrs drive away (Highway travel). With your draw length could you tell me how tall you are? I'm 6 ft on the dot, and thinking (again with Google) that I'm around a 28inch draw length. Do you lose a fair bit of bow poundage once you go under 30 inches of draw length? Cheers in advance from Australia and keep up the great content.
