The Towboat Roberta Tabor in the Ice Southbound Mississippi River

We've had a mild winter so far this season but the ice came fast with these brutal cold temps. Temp was 1 with wind chill of -10 -17C wc -23C this morning. At the very start you can briefly see on the top right 3 eagles and a large nest along with a fox on the ice at Two Branch Island. The audio is from my cell phone on shore. Thanks for watching!

That is a lot of wake turning RPM's for south bounder. Evidently that ice has a little bit of friction and drag to it.

The ice rubbing on the boat hull sounds like you are pushing through gravel. Very loud inside the boat

If I had to push 3 barges down the ice covered Mississippi river that's how I'd do it !
