Obviously if Jimmy knew back then that she was interested in him, they may have dated and perhaps even ended up happy together. If you think about the timeline here, it was back at a time where she was probably looking for someone different than the guys she was used to being with back then and Jimmy has not changed much either since then so she still finds attractive in him now what she found attractive in him back then. He makes her laugh, I mean, genuinely laugh. I have to think about their spouses though because Jimmy and Nicole are now representing a "what if" as opposed to their significant others who are currently representing their forever.
